Playstation trophy with sound effect

When 2.4 was released last night every time you got a trophy there was no sound when you got it. Sometime between now and then a sound effect has been added to the trophies. The youtube video showing it is after the jump. This video seems to be a 100% legit video as well.

It had a sound from the word go, like a little jingle. That's the first thing I thought when it came up, because people had been saying that it would not have a sound.

Sooooooooooo glad it isn't even remotely similar to the "Achievement Unlocked" sound. My buddy has it as his message notifier on his cell and it drives me insane.

bogus. i havent heard it in any trophies i received. and if so, i finally found a bug on 2.40. uh oh. don't let the microsoft kids find out about this tremendous failure! sony is finished! it doesn't make a goofy jingle when you earn a 2d trophy!!!!!!!!!

trophies not working for me i've been playing sshd i've done the lave level so many times and the second one with in the time goal and still cant get any trophies any one got any ideas tnx

First, the two obvious things to double check first: (I'm not being patronising, it's just for completeness)
1) Do you have 2.4
2) So you have SSD-HD 4.00

Finally, you could try deleting your SSD save data (or at least moving it to a different profile so you can get it back later if you want) and try it again.

I don't know if you need to be connected to the network in order to get trophies, but if you do then perhaps it's a connection problem.

On the other hand, if you are connected (which I'm guessing you must be since you have the updates) then it actually could be some sort of bug that you should bring up with Sony. Let's hope they don't ask you to send in your PS3 for inspection.
