Yea, that was pretty epic for a fighting game! I might have to check this one out... any word on a NA release yet?

After seeing this, I wish SE would release this on the PS3! Forget Tekken, this would be awesome!

My favorite part was watching squall go toe to toe with sephiroth. Awesome, that was always my dream to see squall go head to head with him, which I think squall would own him with the lionheart. First day buy for me. :)

I never understood why everyone was all over Cloud. Great character, but I've always loved Squall: favorite character in the Final Fantasy series. There is so much depth to the guy. Love that he's getting attention in this game, which by the way is awesome!

I've been keeping my eye on this title. I loved it since the first second I saw it, but did anybody else see this coming? Its so exciting. When this was first announced, it was rather quiet. Many didn't even notice. So expectations were low, but then the press got to demo a few stages and such and reported monstrous acclaim for the battle system. It seemingly came out of nowhere. Such positive hype, and now this. I can see why.

Looks like this game may be a serious contender for the gold this year. ;)

P.S. The battle scenes were hot! Especially the one with Squall and Sephiroth going at it.

^-^ This trailer is giving me this nice warm feeling...

I'm guessing that this game is going to have two characters from every Final Fantasy game, maybe even more. But from the trailer and the Official Website ( http://www.square-enix.co.j... here is the list of confirmed characters so far.

Garland (I), Warrior of Light (I),
Emperor (II), Frioniel (II),
Sephiroth (VII),
Ultimecia (VIII), Squall (VIII)
Zidane (IX), Kuja (IX),
Tidus (X), Jecht (X)

EDIT ADDED: It also looks like they're using the Kingdom Hearts engine for this game.

no thanks, i think people agree when i say that we psp owners get some freaking good games, the DS has been getting most all handheld exclusives, i think we deserve this, by the way thank you Square-Enix for still giving support to the psp :D

I just think the plot it's there are every characters Evils versus "good" Main characters from each series from Final Fantasy.
I Hope, we will see Cloud, Zack and why not Génesis ^^

I they are tuning the original story details behind the characters' births, relationships, interactions. Tidus for example has got some connection with the heroes (Squall, Zidane), whereas Jecht is with the characters of the Chaos side (Sephiroth, garland and Kuja ^^).

I have read an interview where Testuya Nomura said Jecht may not have been the final boss (with Seymour being the mid-boss), but going with Sin would obviously not work.
And he thought if Square Enix chosed Seymour it would be hard to show a proper connection between him and Tidus So they decided the best choice with a solid relation to Tidus would be Jecht.

But I'm not really sure it's the best choice... And why they didn't add Yuna ( Who was in 2 FINAL FANTASY) ???
She is so sexy in FFX-2 ^^

Finally a new trailer. It still looks amazing. Though like other readers I wish it was on ps3 but oh well I bought a psp for this and crisis core (the red psp) I noticed that there isnt no female characters other than ultemecia. hmm.

So, Dissidia : Final Fantasy is like a melting pot with all Final Fantasy Episode ...
Producer thinks that Stories have their ends, but that's not necessarily true when you've played a game. Producers think After finishing one we can think "It's not over yet!", there's still this part of the game to do, still that they have do...

So it's Like DRAGON BALL Z : Budokai Tenkaichi 3 for the combat, and like Final Fantasy for the scenario ! :)
