Awesome. Just like M$ to make the console market more PC oriented by making us have to upgrade every two or so years. Awesome M$. Should of just kept your sh1t software on the PC.... Maybe if they would of made their console more future proof...we wouldn't have this problem... Ya, anyways. I'm against the whole 2011 having a new console thing...

I'm gonna wait to get it I really cant afford to have another defective console. I went through 4 360's can you believe that luckily I still got my good old 60 gig PS3 I love them both though can't wait hope it's got blu ray but unlikely (doom)

Well they have to make it quiet. And fully backwardscompatible ofcourse.

Heck if it where just quiet and cut the load times in half I'd buy it. :P
But I wonder what media they will use. Some will say blueray ofcourse. But I wonder if it is fast enough. But I guess you could do like the Halo game on PC. You had an option to install to harddrive while you where playing. Don't know why ps3 games doesn't use that. Maybe the developers are just lazy.

After the release of the next-box. Sorry, but after 5 of these pile of crap 360's, I have learned my lesson. MS has some great games and no matter what happens, I am going to have a 360 to play but that doesn't mean I am going to be stupid enough to fall for them again. At least not right away! lol

360 = Great games, poor hardware.

Think about it, it isn't like last generation when games were coming out left, right, and centre. It isn't about Microsoft, Sony, or Nintendo it's about the whole generation moving a lot slower. In two years time I know for sure I won't be getting any next generation console. I'll only think about it around the 7 - 10 year mark and that's about it.

Last generation people were begging for a new console and since you can do so much with these consoles, why get another in two years. I honestly think the Nintendo Wii will age the fastest just based on the software (games). The more you can do with the console besides gaming, will make a lot of buyers wait a lot longer. Last generation there were no movie rentals, online stores, online 3D communities, HD (High Definition) downloads...etc. With that alone will last me, let alone the games themselves.

The next consoles would have to really impress me besides graphics otherwise it makes no point upgrading, if my current console can do the same. This is what will hold people back what can it do that my last console won't offer?

The best analogy I can come up with is buying a console is like buying a house. Once you make the investment it will be hard for you to convince me to move out within 5 years if everything I need is in this location.

I'd like to see how the 360 will last till 2011 considering how it comes last in sales week after week after week after week. And the gap in which it gets beat will only be more, and more, and more. Bad business is what i believe its called. And if MS are trying to stretch the 360's life to 2011, that is nothing short of moronic.

uninformed people and/or simple minded fan boys are the ones that will wait in line to buy a console on day one. you have to be a tool to make the same, over $300 mistake. they will fool you twice so shame on you! just think of the computer some people could have gotten if they didnt have to buy 4 360's =/ i have nothing against the games on the 360 (well i dont like halo) but the whole hardware debacle this gen should detour any normally thinking person from getting the nextbox immediately upon release. not to mention it will be new hardware just like the ps3 was so its going to take at least a year to program CORRECTLY for. and the install base of the ps3 will be so high developers will shun the next box off the bat like they did with the ps3 because of the year head start install base the 360 had. i realize i will get a ton of disagrees because ive noticed mainly xbox fans posting in here so far, but seriously people, think logically.. dont be a pathetic tool. you work hard for your money, well you should at least, dont just throw it away.

ill go with the non tool option and wait until they get things going and make sure the hardware isnt another EPIC failure.

PS3 is the preffered system.
You dont have to worry about RRoD. You wont be the lucky person and you wont have to send your consoles back all the time to repair. You also dont have to worry about the amount of space on the HDD, since SONY provided every users with enough GBs. If you feel you dont have enough, you can always upgrade to 500gb HDD. Which is Mission Impossible on Sh1tBox360. On PS3 you wont have to worry about controller getting broken or, something wrong with the wires which break very often like cheap toys.

PS3 is your ideal choice if you want to play at night without being heard. You dont have to worry about noise, and that your girlfriend will wake up and ask you if there was a plane flying by, when turning on the console.

You will find the best titles which are on PS3 ofcourse such as :

-Killzone 2
-LPB
-Resistance 2
-Heavy Rain 3
-Siren
-Motorstorm
-GT5
-Haze
These games are the most hot, and certainly not for XBOX 360 since it would automaticaly go RRoD when the disc is inserted. Again its too HOT.

Blu Ray is you number one choice when it comes to home entartaiment. High capacity disc makes space for every smallest detail in the movie or in games. In 2009-10 you will see the hottest titles ever coming to PS3 as exclusive. Why not for XBOX ? The main reason is the poor backward generation DVD drive.. Rockstart Houser has said that unfortunately GTA 5 might be too big for the DVD disc.

Enjoy smooth gameplay with mandatory installs which only take up about from 5-10 minutes. Play games without a single loading screen !

Enjoy free ONLINE services provided by SCE. Whoever said that PSN is laggy, they definetely need to get their facts right. Almost all games use P2P in games, which means information travels from 1 player to another. Which means that its up to your internet connection if you will have laggy times. When you have a good internet connection then you dont have to worry about high latency.

Yea .. That happens when im holding this big white brick in my hands.. It feels like a workout in the gym. Feel the SIXAXIS PS3 controller which is as light as a feather compared to the XBOX 360 controller.

Play on a system that is reliable. Buy from a company which has been in the gaming business for years, and knows how to make GOOD hardware and provide their players with cool games.

Why wasting $43.99 on XBOX LIVE GOLD when you can play FREE online for an unlimited amount of time. Why would you pay for the game, then pay again in order to gain the right to play online ?? When you can play for free.

Microsoft is about only about money, they will digg into sh1t in order to get a dollar out of there. Thats all i have to say about their company and their unsuccesful console.

Well, hopefully, they will just go ahead and tack on a couple hundred dollars to the price of this one and go ahead and take out that billion dollar insurance policy ahead of time. My roomate went without a 360 for 2 months since his broke the second week after release. While they are at it, maybe they will just package it in it's own UPS/Fedex packaging with permanant postage applied, that way, it will save me time when the new one dies on me over and over. Not saying that it will, but lots of you seem to hold sony's past promises and mistakes against them, without even owning the system AND failing to recognize the worst blunder in GAMING HISTORY!!! At least argue intelligently.

Microsoft will make great improvements to the next Xbox:
1. It will burn whole blocks instead of just a house.
2. The sound will be of that of an airplane engine.
3. games will come in DVDs 'cause..."more space is not needed"
4. First year consoles will have 20gigs because..."Digital Downloads are the future".
5. Controllers will use squared batteries.
