for the most part i thought they were very close lol. even maybe a bit to close. just makes me wonder what the next innovation in gaming will be, i mean next gen cant just be about better graphics becus once you reach life like looking theres not much more you can do in that department is there.

old comparison and wrong, it should say cry engine 2 vs. Reality since those are assets from a virtual realtiy company. It's definatly nice though.

3 gig ram
7200 Hard drive
about 500$ if you look for good deals.
Throw in 150 for monitor, 35 for case and 35 for PS and you have a PC(mine) that can run the game on all high with 45ish FPS.

Hardly a nuclear reactor. :)

These days, games look real if an image is taken at the right light and angle. Once they are in motion, there are subtle things that make them look fake.

But we have come a very long way since the Atari days.
