Capcom Japan has released the first photo of Smallville's Kristin Kreuk as Chun Li in Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li. As you can see, she's neither wearing her usual blue dress or have her hair wrapped in her trademark cute buns.

This movie appears like it wont be much better than that last pile of garbage they tried to pass off as Street Fighter. You need real martial artist if you are going to make a game based on fighting. Fail from the start when you don't.

Capcom should stick to anime with Street Fighter flicks. Or at the very least CG.

She's half Dutch and half Chinese if you're wondering. They couldn't find any good actresses from China and who can blame them? Off the top of my head I can only think of a few dozen and only half of them are hot.

That's really just to please the fans, not because they have no knowledge in that regard.

I've been to Japan, and they actually have their feet firmly on the ground, when it comes to their perception of foreigners, like Americans and the British. However, they continue to make games featuring tired stereotypes for characters. I really don't know why, I just don't get those guys...

Now, as far as this girl playing Chun Li.........I'm just glad they did not use Jessica Biel, as that would be a slap in the face of all actresses with an Asian inheritance, not that I don't like Jessica's fine a$$, but this girl in the pics depict how Japan create their characters, which is Asian characters that look largely mingled with Caucasian. I too think this movie will suck donkey balls but at least it can't be worse than the first film.............and you can actually quote me on that!

Wow, Chunli, hih, I watch Smallville and she does not look anything like Chun-li. Chun-Li had her hair rolled up in buns, were a blue dress and curves they would make a grown man nautious. Her thighs were so thick and shapely. Everything about the arcade game portrayed Chun-li as very curvy, muscular, but still very feminine women. Do not get me wrong she is attractive, but no Chun-li.

I thought the first movie was quite funny, slap-stick fighting/comedy. was better than I expected(my expectations where very low).

But it has too do well...Hot young female fights and gets dirty, what young teen wouldn't want to see that?

I wonder what'll be worse this or the Dragonball movie!

I like Kristin but this role has no place for her. she doesn't look the least bit like a Chinese woman and they needed a chinese actress to make it more authentic. they could have at least used Zhang Ziyi or somebody similar who has history in english martial arts movies. we'll see how she does
