Despite reports to the contrary, it seems the Gun Metal Special edition PlayStation 3 IS being released in the UK. Jersey based retailer Play.com are understood to have an exclusive on the product.

Does that mean Dual Shock 3?

Play.com also have an exclusive on the Limited Edition version of the game, but Game have an exclusive on the Bluetooth headset.

I'd like the console, but I'm already spending a lot on the Limited Edition version of the game as well as the standard edition + headset.

I've contacted the guy in charge of Play.com's games division (spoke to him in the past) to clarify the accuracy of the listing as well as clear up the dualshock 3/sixaxis issue if he confirms. Will update site when/if I hear back.

Only that it is a very, very limited supply. BS if you ask me. If they plan to charge a premium for it we should know exactly how many are going to be made and sold.

If they can move more systems with the Metal Gear name, believe me, they will make more. They are not creating a collector's item here! They want to sell systems and games to make money. It's business.

Kind of reminds me of when DC Comics decided to kill Superman, and everyone rushed out to buy this "collectable" comic. They sold so many copies, they aren't worth anything! Moral - don't trust the manufacturer of "limited" editions products when they tell you there are only going to be a few made.
