Nintendo contradicting themself concerning storage

It seems Nintendo's European senior marketing director is confused over what makes the Wii accessible.

I realise that some people would like to store everything in one place, for easy accessibility,

Vs

we could increase our technology and add a hard drive, but then what we lose is simplicity and accessibility.

It seems to me that they know the should add a HDD but they won't make as much profits.

I bet he doesnt even know what he is talking about "I don't think that's the general feeling of most of the people."

I say you are WRONG.

i think he meant it would be Too much for some consumers.
but i still disagree( as long its not coming from Iwata, then i just take it with a bag of salt)

With as much money as they make on DS and Wii sales a month I think they can release a hard drive add on for the system.

If they would have included more storage in the first place they wouldn't be in this situation. They put their greed ahead of taking care of their customer's needs.

7 - Idiot should be fired immediately.
These words should never come from someone who's primary responsibility is to make the product succeed:

"they don't like the system as it's set up at the moment"

It's called having a severe case of foot-in-mouth syndrome.

What Nintendo needs to do:

1)Fire this idiot
2)Enable seamless use of SD as if it was internal memory by
a) reserve part of the internal memory to cache the content from SD
b) copy only the content chosen to the reserved space and play
c) on close, update SD as necessary and clear the "cache"

This is easily doable with a firmware update. One additional change would be the DRMization of the content.

LOL! Nintendo was capable of allowing usb keyboard support, but not usb hard drive support?

A usb hard drive wouldn't be difficult at all.
1.Get one
2.Plug it in
3.????
4.Profit!

10 - Hmm...
"it would be more convenient to have more space. But having said that, I don't think that's the general feeling of most of the people. "

-Why don't they just try it and see what happens? They are already ahead in sales, they could work on that, and see where it gets them who knows they may sell more! if they can make more...

"At the moment, we of course know that some people are strug... well, it's not that they're struggling, it's just that they don't like the system as it's set up at the moment,"

-I surely don't like the way it's set up,if twilight hack was able to play DvDs and such why couldn't they add that feature and make it into a channel?

"Most of the people are happy with what they have. Of course, we could increase our technology and add a hard drive, but then what we lose is simplicity and accessibility, which is one of the important things for us. We want our consoles to be easy to access and not cause headaches."

-More memory would be much more simpler than running around with 25 SD cards after having all these games take up a huge block of memory once they come out.

Overall analysis: Thumbs down, these people don't know what they speak of and are generally just stupid overall. If Nintendo didn't reVamp their forums and make it into a support forum I'm sure they would be better off, but obviously they won't be now and neither will the Wii. Sad how such a system that has been dominating in sales will never amount to it's full potential because of the blind-eyed greedy corporate fat katz that is Nintendo.
