MadWorld dev: Wii "too many of the same type of games"

Director of upcoming gore-fest from SEGA and Platinum games details why such a game is a good fit for Wii.

At SEGA's showcase event for its four-game deal with Platinum Games (the studio formerly known as Seeds, created by ex-Clover Studio staff) Mad World director Shigenori Nishikawa revealed why the decision was made to develop such a violent game for Nintendo's family-oriented console.

"We felt that the Wii Marketplace had too many of the same type of games - there was something missing in the line-up," stated Nishikawa. "That's why we created such a game as Mad World."

What's wrong with NMH!? It is one of the best Wii games to date. Plus, blood is fun :)

...i didnt say anything is wrong.
I did not play the Blood versions ( and thanks suda for that....no im actually happy about it) and the pal version gave it more of a artistic effect then just another blood splatter on your screen.

This game just reminds me of what Suda would make, although the BLOOD...im just not intoo it.

I know what you mean.

In case of NMH, the blood was actually part of what Suda wanted. The censorship systems and Ubi is behind censoring of the blood in Japanese and Pal versions.
Suda 51's original vision of the game was with anime like blood. For me, blood and gore are among the most important aspects of any game though I'm a general gore-hound (in both movies and games). :D

Was Suda part of Clover because this game is made by the old Clover studio. That could be why it has similarities and yes No More Heroes rocks ^^ and would still be fun with or without blood

Seen the youtube clip, this game looks good. From chainsawing the hell outta someone, to ramming a sign threw their skull. Bring on the blood baby!
