Xbox 360 bundle promos annouced for Japan

1 - looks like MGS4 and the ps3 will have some compitition in Japan this summer from MS...
haha, only kidding.

I wouldnt be surprised to see the ps3 out sell the Wii in Japan for a few weeks after MGS4.

look what Crisis core did for the psp there.

Too bad Ninja Gaiden sucks. People in Japan don't care about that game at all. Releasing a Ninja Gaiden bundle so close to the MGS4 bundle is just lol.

Clearly MS is trying to steal MGS4's thunder but obviously they wont be able to do that, MGS franchise is so huge in Japan, and is published by KONAMI, almost every game that KONAMI publishes sells incredibly well on Japan...of course this Xbox 360 bundle will help to move some consoles, maybe raise units sold to 15000 on one week at the most, but Ninja Gaiden2 cant compete with MGS4, simple as that

12 - ninja gaiden games don't suck, quite the contrary a lot of reviewers gave em all 9's or 10's
at this point if your into guns and the mechanics of the previous of MGS games then MGS 4 is your cup of tea

or if your into swords and using various weapons that are blade related and the mechanics of the previous NG games then NG2 is your cup of tea.

personally i'm more into seeing this NG bundle over hear in the us than over there, but i would like to see how japan thinks of NG games.

Ninja gaiden games are excellent hardcore games as gameplay goes however their weak storyline (at least in the first game) and gung ho aproach to ninjutsu make it less apealling to eastern gamers that in conbination to being exclusive to a disliked platform in the area have meant ninga gaiden sells relatively well in the west and horribly in the east.

For ninja gaiden 2 to be liked in the east it needs to improve its storyline as a must the other flaws can be overlooked as it tend to be the main feature that japanese and eastern gamers focus upon in difference to western graphic (main) and gameplay (secondary) obsession .

15 - It is safe to say (in the best way possible) that the 360 has lost Japan.
This might boost sales, but even 100% would be like 1,500 more units.

Japan is buying 4 console's already (PSP, DS, Wii, PS3). I can't even beleive that 2 handhelds and 2 home consoles are all selling at the same time. It used to be 1 popular handheld and 1 popular home console in Japan selling well: Gameboy/PS1...Gameboy/PS2.

But the PSP is about to do some innovative things with PS3 this year (HOME, LittleBigPlanet, Download Movies, Games, Television, etc.). And PSP owners in Japan will want these features and buy a PS3 (especially a slim model).

16 - A new sku or bundle in Japan is as useless as
tits on a nun. Over there, they just don't want what Microsoft is selling. I imagine Ninja Gaiden 2 might give em' a spike in sales from the paltry sum it usually is to maybe double that paltry sum. I love my 360 and don't understand what they have against it... seems like nationalism to me more than any other reason.

ugh I hate stupid fanboys. NG is an awesome game no matter how you look at it. Why are ppl even comparing it to MGS? they are on totally different fronts. and both amazing in there in way. but you do have one thing right NG will not do well in japan. Even this game isn't gonna save the 360 in the east. it just never gonna happen. MS could release the ultimate console and it would still fail over there. that is just they way things work there. and to those fools who claim NG has never broke a mill you a cleary blind. NGB has sold over 1.5 mil.
