it's that sites, mags and journalist are all swayed by self bias, swag, advertising dollars and other various forms of payoffs.

I have played both games for a few hours each side by side and sometimes I forget which version I am playing until I squeeze the controller.

Just look at the comparison video between Gears and Gears 2. They darkened the detail a bit in Gears. Brumak on the original Gears of War has a lot more detailed then displayed in that video comparison. I played the level today just to see for myself.

You can't trust gaming media outlets at all. We have to rely on user feedback but there is just too much fanboy nonsense to know who to trust with that as well. Guess we are all alone and have to make our own decisions or rely on a few close friends. Which is what I do most.

The fact tha tey used the wrong video has nothing to do with which looks better. Gamer trailers view the games on both consoles, They realize the 360 version is better. They go to make a comparisom video and used the wrong file when they merged it....

How does that make the ps3 version different. They saw which one was different before the video was made.

No shock at all from me. Did anybody notice how they've given absolutely no attention to the new gameplay footage of Killzone 2 and Resistance 2? They just let it slide like it doesn't exist, not only do they not post 720p versions, but they don't post them at all. Period. No comparisons to Resistance 1, no analysis, nothing. And yet, the same day they show the Gears 2 gameplay footage, they go balls to the wall with all kinds of crazy analyses and so forth.

Its got to the point that you cannot trust a review from any site these days. Only those that have both systems running on the same TV can judge for themselves.

Gametrailers have been pulled up on this kind of stuff before. Eventually this kind of game journalism is going to be the end of them. If this was deliberate then rightly so.

Could be an honest mistake, but it could also be pure trashy favoritism. Neither one would surprise me, judging by how they handle themselves over there. Only the people working at GameTrailers know for sure.

Maybe Gametrailers is a little biased, but it's the only (decent) site with a wealth of game trailers available, actually works most of the time, and has got good enough servers to cope with bandwidth.

I'll still use GT, but probably not to view comparison videos anymore. Most likely GT will ignore this problem and hope that it goes away, I hope that it doesn't they need to make a public apology atleast.

Halo 3? Was it really? That's lame. I loved the game (for about a month), but Call of Duty 4 was waaaaaaaaaaay better, and a multiplatform, so it is approachable for PC owners, PS3 owners, 360 owners... definitely should have been that before Halo 3. I had gone to gametrailers in the past to see footage of games and such, but never really paid that much attention to the comparisons (Until the DMC debacle). Since I only went there once or twice a month, it never really stood out. If this trailer is true (which it looks to be), this is low and unacceptable. I guess I'll have to add then to the list of unreliable game media sources along with Gamespot.

It is pretty strange. Gametrailers always makes the 360 version look better. They first wouldn't turn full RBG on and made fun of PS3 fanboys because of it. Then they turn it on and compare without full RBG on Uncharted and said there were no differences. The only comparison video that made the PS3 look better was Ironman. But of course, nobody cared about that game.
