Mirror's Edge still multiplatform, EA confirms

EA has confirmed to VideoGamer.com that upcoming parkour-inspired first-person game Mirror's Edge is still coming out on Xbox 360 and PC, despite a report today on the UK-based semi-official blog ThreeSpeech that claimed it was PS3-exclusive.

it was a little strange...Sony showed the trailer at their SGD on tuesday...of which was apparently the only multiplatform title to get the big screen treatment...iirc...

then the threespeach stuff...who knows...but yeah, its EA...there is very little chance of it not going to every platform under the sun...

such reports mostly point out that sony may actually being in a offer to dice getting the game as an eclusiv, we will see what the future brings, maybe a timed exclusiv.

such blatant errors made by official blogs/sites mostly have some true background to it

Well, it would have certainly been smarter of sony to go with Mirror's Edge as exclusive rather than Haze. But then again, this is EA and they don't like exclusivities, hehe.

EA HAS done exclusives before, but its doubtful

at least we can rest easy that the PS3 version will be at least on par if not better than the 360 version seeing as it was running really well in time for PS day and it seems these guys are having an easy ride with PS3 programming

I do not care if it is multiplatform....We all know in our hearts of hearts that this game was developed on the PS3 first then ported to the PC and Xbox 360...

You know there will be Sixaxis controls in this game....that actually might work...Come on EA redeem yourself!

8 - They need to make a Spiderman from the first-person perspective...
Now, that'd be pretty cool. Mirror's Edge looks pretty good, but it's mostly because of that amazing blue sky! It wouldn't garner nearly as much attention if the backdrop were cloudy - think about it...

Innocent mistakes are fine, but isn't ThreeSpeech supposed to be semi official? That's a pretty big screw up if they are.

As long as Mirror's edge comes to the PS3 I couldn't care less about which systems it ends up on.

The game indeed look good. The gameplay otherwise don't show too much content to make a final judgment over the combat system. Now, if the game its really a exclusive it is good to me even if the game going to be multiplatform as was announce I'm cool but EA game just to suck major of the times... hopefully DICE don't screw up this one.

The whole point of parkour is that you do cool moves - if the game is in first person then you cannot see the cool moves and who gives a crap about the game? Think I will pass unless you can view third-person.

The graphics in this game are colorful and vibrant. Yet it still looks quite realistic. The gameplay looks good as well, I just wish we had more videos of the game. I'm looking forward to seeing/hearing more information on this stunning game.
