lol you think forza is better than GT5 just because it got model damage? forza looks like a PS2 game, really, people wanted to trash their cars in a racing game they actually will go and buy burnout paradise. If someone give me a racing car, I will try to not to crash it or even scratch it, because racing is based in skills, not in bumping cars like a kid.

Was not even a launch title. It came out the October following the 360s Nov. 05 release. The reason for compairing it to a last gen game is because you're saying it hasn't been up to par by only doing 5 million. But look at GoW2 like TheMart said, or MGS3. 120 million consoles sold and those games sell a few million? That's pathetic. Oh and if you want to bring in next gen games, how about R:FOM, a launch title for the PS3 (meaning it has been out as long as gears) It has sold what, 3 million if that?....Maybe you should be happy we compare gears to your ps2 games...cause that's pathetic.

PS2 installed base 120+ mln. and one of the best games ever sells 2 mln.

360 installed base 10 mln. at the time Gears came and sold 5 mln.

ok lets compare with the PS3 and its about 10 mln. installed base

about 1.3 mln. in sales now for Uncharted. Gears sold that within what, a month or even less.

Playstation users just don't spend so much money on buying games. Bet they play a lot of BluRay movies though!

or

Uncharted 1.3 mln. copies sold with 10 mln. users

Give me those indexes please. I am curious about them. Because last time I checked, the 360 has more games sold over 1 and 2 mln., plus the average attach rate per unit on the 360 is over 7 games per unit, while the PS3 might hit 4 to 5 at highest.

And it seems that you Xbots love to compare how a game sells with a userbase of 120 million people, but conveniently forget that the PS2 has 8000+ GAMES!!! It's f***ing EASY for Cogs of War to sell 5 million units with such a low install base (compared to the PS2) and less than 1000 games, most of which suck ass and don't stand out enough to sell well at all.

How about you compare Cogs of War 2 years from now to Gran Turismo 3? Then we'll see how pathetic 360 game sales really are.

Actually, your logic fails because the PS2 DID NOT have a 120 million userbase when GT3 was released.

The PS2 was released Oct. 26, 2000. GT3 wasn't released until July 10th 2001. That's 7 months, 2 weeks, and 1 day after the release of the console.

The 360 was available November 22 2005, and Gears of War was available November 7, 2006. That's almost an entire year.

Now, which console do you think had a bigger install base at the time of each games release? If the PS2 had the bigger install base, sold more units than Gears of War overall, and at a faster rate, how is it a bad thing for Gran Turismo but a good thing for Gears of War?

5 million is not a good number when all things are considered. Such as the fact that the game is 2 years old, their is now an install base of 18 million (meaning that 13 million of those people will have to buy Gears of War for it to catch up to Gran Turismo 3), and that the sequel is soon to be released.
