Exclusive: 27 New FFXIII and Versus Famitsu PS3 Scans

BlankChocobo has scanned in her copy of Famitsu PS3 which contains 27 pages on Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Versus XIII. In case you're confused, the previous Famitsu scans were from Famitsu Weekly and these ones are from Famitsu's Playstation 3 specific magazine.

last yr they were saying they were only about 5% complete or something because of some initial complications with ps3 hardware but with the influx of new info on the game and the game being less silent i really do believe at least one of them can comeout this yr.

yea it looks like they have gotten their rythm going though since the title is no longer as under wraps as it was. The 2008 hasnt been ruled out yet either so it is a possibility. A lot can be done in a full yr. If final fantasy hits this yr sony will come out on top cus final fantasy is the game to take ps3 past wii sales in japan. And hopefully there will be other games available to sustain this

I predict an 09 release for Final Fantasy alongside the likes of God of war, twisted metal ps3 most likely, syphon filter ps3, the rockstar ps3 exclusive and things of that nature.

Yeah i think so too. With all the great games coming out for the PS3 this year anyway, it`s ok to have something for next year also isn`t it ;)

Can`t wait for some in-game videos of either one of the FF13 games, i want more :)

5 - i'm sorry but while i'm excited to see FF13 is still alive and well
i've seen these scans for the last month since december, untill square lets the cat out of the bag laster this year through various media events such as GDc 08(yeah they ahve a presentation on a new engine they created) and most likely E3 and definately Tokyo game show 08 which i must attend both of this year, and their jump festa and square enix party that they do in novemeber which by then we'll know when the game is releasing, there is no reason to keep recycling the same scans from december.

i will buy ffXIII but versus just seems to get better and better the more i see it. I think versus will be the bad@ss version of FF not that XIII wont be good versus just seems darker and more fun to play

hmmm it gets really boring now, when they repeatedly show the same pics, that are most probably from prerendered videos, and btw. i am a FF fan... hopefully they will show some ingame screens in the near future.

I hear you man, its impressive non the less, regardless. Oh and given what we have seen of the in-engine cut-scene (maybe gameplay) footage of FF 13, Versus may be able to be this high of quality..Only time will tell.

i am taking all the comments from devs (or more likely from lying PR managers) very sceptical nowadays concerning what is ingame when showing the game in very early stages... btw. i am more interested in the nextgen Dragon Quests games, because i like the oldschool turnbase style and i think the new "lets make it more action like" is what the FF series will destroy for the oldschool RPG gamers like i am :( therefor DQ is the new FF for me :) btw. i liked FF8 and 9 the most.

This game seems to upper the standard on what you need for an RPG game to be great. I feel sorry for other companies that make RPG's being so overshadowed by Square's almighty dominance in that genre.

oh lord i just need a gameplay demo or im going to pop- waiting for the biggest game EVER is killing me, im a huge FF fan and i really need some FF love in 08

This will be out late 2008 in Japanese so expect the english translation by 2009 unless they pull a MGS4 and have a worldwide release later this year. Fingers crossed.

Hey, did you change your sn recently??

Anyhow,
FF XIII and FF Versus: XIII are in the same universe, but perhaps take place at different times in history and or locations within that universe. Versus is very modern day with the twist of magic existing. XIII is quite futuristic with high technology and magic.

Gamewise, Versus is more action oriented (like Kingdom hearts) while XIII is more traditional like the previous Final Fantasy games. I hope this helps.

I doubut that out side Japan either games will be out till the First Quater of 2009, none the less I can not wait for Versus XIII because I am a fan of the KH series and Verus XIII is being created by Nomura who created the KH sereies.

Hey didnt I see a picture of Riku in theses scans. Or am I just Mistaken, Nomura sure loves guys in Black hooded cloaks.
