In her latest rumors Surfer Girl reveals what is the previously-mentioned "something from J.J. Abrams that is not Lost" and getting game treatment, the name of Activision's first James Bond game, and new Diablo 3 details.
Take these with a grain of salt.
Who says a dud game can't have a video game comeback?
Cyberpunk and No Man's Sky have to be up there. We're lucky and cursed, equally, to have games that can be updated now. For folks old enough to remember the Sega/SNES into PS1 and even 2 eras, if a game came out that was half baked (*cough*Angel of Darkness*cough*) that was it, no redemption. At the same time, having the option for updates shouldn't be an excuse for half assing games.
Diablo III still works on modern PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and remains hugely playable a decade after initial release.
Are you comparing a continuously improved 10+ years old masterpiece with the... beta of an unreleased game?
Diablo III: Season 28 brings with it the Altar of Rites, an altar full of unlockable bonuses and potions that will require the gathering of tons of resources. One of things needed is the Staff of Herding, which also unlocks the famous Cow Level known as Whimsyshire. Here's how to craft that staff, for those that either have forgotten, or have never completed it.
I hope this news about Diablo 3 turns out to be true. I knew that purely from a financial standpoint that Blizzard would want Diablo 3 to be MMORPG, which would have made me upset because of a lack of single player mode. Of course I would much rather it follow the same single and multiplayer format that its prequels did, but at this point I'll take what I can get.
DIABLO 3, BLIZZARD, I WANT IT NOW!!!!
I sure hope that a new one will be announced too but as usual surfer girl manages to tell us absolutely nothing worthwhile ... what a waste internet space.
As far as Diablo 3 goes, I just hope they keep the gameplay similar and have a top-down view like D1 and D2 as well as LOD of course. Can't wait...
For the inevitable Diablo 3 I just hope they take the classic formula to the next level (similar to what Iron Lore did with Titan Quest making it a sort of Diablo 2.5...that by ALL means is REALLY good) and they DON'T try to force another formula into it to make it more "fresh" and "new" or the might potentially end up with a game with an identity crisis like Hellgate: London
Is this stupid surfer girl???
Well, I'd kill Blizzard's exects if they made Diablo 3 an MMO. Diablo 2 was one of the best games of all time and among my faves and I plyaed it's singleplayer a hundred times. Hope it's true and D3 has indeed a full singleplayer component. Singleplayer FTW!
