Electronic Arts confirms that Mercs 2 will miss its 2007 release

Electronic Arts has today announced that Mercenaries 2: World in Flames will be launched during 2008, missing a planned '2007' release stated in a E3 2006 fact sheet from developers, Pandemic Studios.

In a statement to TVG, a UK representative at EA confirmed that whilst an exact date hadn't been finalised, "[we] can confirm it will be next year." The Christmas season is already looking congested, so perhaps it was inevitable that even some of the high-profile titles (like Mercs 2) would be pushed back to 2008.
