By far the best looking game to grace console. Alan Wake is graphical masterpiece painstakingly carved into a (perfect game) anyone who loves only graphics shouldn't hesitate in picking Alan Wake because these sort of graphics u won't see done on any other console.

I would disagree there are far more good looking games Present today. though it looks great and is on my Day 1 purchase list.

AnttiApina5100d ago (Edited 5100d ago )

There are many great looking games on the market. While Alan Wake may not be the best, I think it is still among them.

But Dear God Examiner, why do you convert your images in such a tiny resolution?

El_Colombiano5100d ago

Alan Wake looks good. Not the best but good. The game looks promising.

Ghoul5100d ago

one of the best games by look and feel ? definatly yes.
Technical best engeine ? nope

but i cant wait to get my copy. im eagerly waiting for several years now to play this masterpiece couse Alan wake is a masterpiece no doubt about that.

I won't go all "best graphics on consoles" but it does look excellent and should stuff a cork into anyones mouth who says the 360 can't produce amazing looking games. It does look like it is shaping up to be something special. I hope it delivers throughout the whole story.

cmrbe5100d ago

It looks good but best console graphics by far??. lol!.

What i have seen in AW is that there are hardly more than two humanoid enemies on screen and there really is not much going on. Can't blame them for using motion blur since its sub HD.

Dude. It will do you a world of good to look at least GOW3 that has insane amount of action on screen with the best graphics on console at 720p. If you do you will think twice about saying that sort of crap which makes you look stupid.

Just look at the Alan Wake tech vid and you can not deny this game is top quality in graphics alone.

Kind of a goody story...

On a serious note, that is why I try activating gift cards asap. It's happened to me where the store didnt scan it right where the card was unusuable. Happened at Wally World.

wait, that place is real? national lampoon wasn't kidding?

Knightofelemia19h ago

Usually most of those redemption card have an expiry date on them. If they expired all buyer did was buy recycled paper. And some of those codes are country locked to certain countries. I buy a card from the States I can't use it in Canada.

Dumb and silly story. She wasted her money for no reason.

Is it really that hard to go to Steam or GOG. She spent $240, when its currently 70% off on GOG, and only costs $4.49.

Gee, I wonder, should I spend $240 on eBay, or $4.49 on GOG? 🙄

Rynxie11h ago

Most likely she wanted to resell a few or most of them. However, it was a too good to be true situation.

So in short she paid $240.00 assuming usd for a bunch on unactivated game codes.

I still don't understand why I guess cause there's not a physical version and she wanted something for a collection or art project.

Rynxie11h ago

No, most likely to resell. However, she ended up getting screwed.

Asplundh8h ago

This is Alan Wake 1, it had physical copies.

A thermos is upending the Alan Wake community

Remedy has Alan Wake merch on sale, including a pretty blue thermos. Unfortunately, things haven’t gone according to plan, and many players who want a thermos find themselves without one, though it does appear that Remedy is attempting to fix things. Nevertheless, it has resulted in a lot of upset, illustrating just how much the thermos means to Alan Wake fans.
