I'm a big Halo fan. Love the first two games, loved the Beta and will be purchasing my Legendary Box set in September.

BUT....I am a little disappointed on 2 things.

1. Why was Bungie not there to actually demo the Single Player experience? They did it with Halo 2 and it went down a storm. The 2 minute trailer was a bit poor, with no real explanation of what's new etc. There's obvious things, but I would of like to be walked through it.

2. Graphics. I know the game is going to be massive in scale and a blast to play which are the 2 main important things, but still. I was hoping for a huge leap from Halo 2, and I thought the Beta was nice looking but surely the Single Player experience will shine...but it looks the same.

The lighting effects looks cool, and the tree's ect, but I'm just worried that come tommorow, Halo 3 is going to get overshined by a game Sony will be showing called Killzone.

Either way, Halo will sell bucket loads, but I know some people are going to be disappointed, even some people who are trying to put a positive spin on this as well.

I know I'll get a load of disagree's, but that's how I feel!

The new warthog looks awesome since you can have the passengers shoot out with any gun. Who needs a turret when you have a experienced driver with 2 people riding shotgun with sniper rifles? or even better rocket launchers? What about the spartan laser?
The clan that masters this will be Unstoppable.

Bungie put more effort in Multi player than singleplayer however...Multiplayer is the force driving Halo and is the real reason people buy the game. The single player won't be "epic", but the battles online will be legendary.

Assans Creeds had some graphic glitches...and will probably be better on the PS3 since i heard it was developed on the PS3 first then ported to the Xbox 360.

Halo 3 was the bomb!! I will definately get it. Everything else sucked on the Xbox 360.

Assassins creed will be better on the 360. even at the last e3 when it was announced they were runnin on 360's even though they said it was ps3 exclusive. ok i just downloaded the hd version on my 61". It looks better than the multiplayer thats for sure. It still doesnt look nearly as good as COD:4 and Assassins creed. THATS JUST MY OPINION! It looks amazing though and I cant wait till september!

On another note, the rest of the conference was a bore. YYYYAAAWWWWNNNNNEEEDDDD all the way through it. The 07 lineup besides mass effect and halo3 is weak. No big announcements of any sort (unless you count resident evil and disney movies coming to the 360). Oh and I watched it on G4tv and those bastards cut the halo three trailer out near the end. Complete lack of taste on their part. ABSOLUTE BS!

There where no real suprises. But to me some of the best stories was some Xbox live arcade games, RE5 looking damm good, Disney coming to movie downloads, and of course Halo 3 finish the fight at the end. The rest we had seen tons of news about, Assassins C, VF5 online, Mass effect, blue dragon, lost odys, etc etc. So did it had the impact no, because alot of it was news we already knew, but overall tells a story of how good it is to own a xbox 360 come starting in August. And it will also apply to Ps3, with some of their good games too. And yes the Halo 3 campaign looks dammm and I repeat dammmm good.

I just watched the conference on G4tv.com and thought it played nice and smooth on the megatronasaurus screen. Halo 3 did not disappoint, and I think fans are going to be satisfied with the new game. I'm surprised Bungie didn't show off their next project, or that there weren't more surprises coming from in-house developers. My one gripe is that from what I saw on the low res g4tv site the campaign mode doesn't match up well with the screen shot released not too long ago. With that aside, Halo 3 is going to be a blast, and the scope of it is quite remarkable. Looks like this fall will be Nirvana for gamers.

I am truly impressed by the graphics just because of the sheer size of the levels.

Everything is on a much larger scale and a hell of a lot more colorful.

I don't know about the rest of the Halo 3 fans but that music is nothing but pure adrenaline. It almost gives you chills when you are listening to it.

With this and Mass Effect coming in November Santa is gonna have his sleigh full of 360s.

COD4 looked absolutely amazing...Like Crysis amazing (aside from the lack of interactivity)...If KZ2 has to live up to something, its COD4...not Halo 3...if it ends up being less impressive than halo 3, so be it...but Halo 3, at least from what we saw, didn't touch COD4...

Halo 3 looked exactly like I thought it would...The beta gave a great illustration of what the final would look like, and was not that far off viusally in terms of that short trailer (I was one always saying the H3 beta did not look bad...by the way)..

The Spartan green 360 was sort of a suprise...I figured they would go with more of an airbrush Halo emblem thing on it or something...rather than just a matte olive green box...I didn't mind that color though, although for some reason the controllers in that color didn't agree with me as much as the actual console did...either way, I am sure it will sell pretty well...

but oh man...Moore's speach on Japanese developers/publishers...and then the "biggest release from Japan not coming until '08"...and then the "african" look of the opening shots...I thought MGS4 was finally announced for the 360...but it was RE5, which looked great too...Any educated person understands that MGS4 will most likely make an appearance in some form or another on the 360 eventually...probably a timed release with the 360 getting some different content, similar to what the franchise has done in the past...

I am a tad let down by the graphics and animation in Halo 3 from the E3 presentation. The graphics were too hit and miss. Some shots were just awesome, others looked like total crap and no better than Halo 2.

Before you fanboys flame me, I am as about as hardcore with Halo as they come. I used to host massive Halo parties and owned six xboxes and two projectors and seven televisions, just so that me and my roommates could deathmatch anytime we wanted.

I am just looking at the other games coming out this year (games such as Bioshock) and wondering why things still look rough with Halo 3.

My biggest letdown is with the animation. That whole Arbiter kicking the Spartan shot looked totally lame and looked like it had 3 frames of animation. Unfortunately, time is running out for September and I fear that the game is being rushed once again. I would much rather for Halo to come out in November and be polished than have a repeat of Halo 2 with it's pop-in textures.

Lastly, I hope they cooked up a better storyline this time around. Halo 2's storyline was the ghey. I mean, come on; they had the plant from "Little shop of horrors" at the end of Halo 2!

Ok, it's not super-duper Gears of War on crack... so what? Ever played Starcraft? Old RTS, but it's just as fun now as it was when it was released, like Diablo 2 as well, which proves graphics are just one part of what makes a game enjoyable. You can give me all the eye candy you want, but if I'm not experiencing just as much action, you might as well expect an return and refund for my purchase. As for my opinion, I feel it'll be Halo again, still the same strafing in circles, running around with a zoomed sniper, running people over with vehicles, along with sticking people with plasma grenades, with just a few new toys to add some extra spice into what is an already well designed game. Granted, I hated Halo 2's dual wielding... and I'm glad they're trying to put more emphasis into two-handed weaponry, so people don't go grubby for that plasma pistol/SMG combo all the time.

The chief was on the ground hitting it with rockets while the arbiter was on top tearing it up with some strange new gun and all if this was going on in a HUGE environment. I am currently looking at the still pics and there is detail all over the place i just didnt see in the trailer. I think a more than a few people need to go back and replay halo 2; the graphics are way better and there is no goofy pop-up.

For instance in the shot with the arbiter and the chief looking up (00:00:45.632) you can clearly see all the long swords flying over head, trees that must be 5 miles away, smoke rising that must be 10 miles away and explosions high up in the sky. A ton is going on.

Also in frame 00:00:49.307 you can see that a brute has a strange gun on his back and he is dropping a red orb piece of equipment.

In frame 00:02:11.723 you can see so far away that the forerunner ship is in view and in the top left of the frame you can see a covenant ship that is moving and it has to be miles away. The environments are huge

To those who say it looks like halo two I suggest going to frame 00:01:00.507 and look at the detail in the buggers. They have WAY more polygons in them than they did in halo 2.

Other things I noticed are;

Frame 00:01:13.107, what is the piece of equipment the chief is rocking in the upper left hand corner?

Frame 00:01:15.382, look at the bad arse hologram of the prophet on the left. Also we get to see the 4th grenade emblem in this frame.

Frame 00:01:27.982, what is the strange blue thing with and odd yet symmetrical black triangular top coming out of the planet?

Frame 00:01:39.707, warthog with 4 seats.

Frame 00:01:42.157, is just simply stunning; the lighting on the base to the right is amazing! Move slowly ahead you see that we have a new scarab, 2 banshees, some strange new craft, 3 warthogs and a ton of guys in or on each all fighting at once!

Frame 00:01:44.607, shows the arbiter on top of this same scarab with a new gun laying waste to the troops on top.

Frame 00:01:46.707 we see that to the left of this same battle we also have 3 covy drops ships , 3 banshees and what looks like some kind of human battle ship. Keep in mind this is obviously the same place that frame 00:01:42.157 was going on at and the angle was different so that would put 5 banshees, 3 drop ships, the new scarab (with a deck full of guys), 3 warthogs (with 2- 3 troops in each) Some kind of battle cruiser, the strange new craft between the 2 banshees from the right, the chief and the arbiter all in one place all fighting with zero frame drop. SCALE is what halo 3 is obviously about.

This is the beast known as HALO 3 and the levels and area's are Fukin HUGE, so based on how huge it is, I think the graphics are jaw dropping. I get chills every time I watch that video.
