Haze to become a PS3 exclusive again?

Free Radical released a pre-E3 footage of Haze, during the video there was no mention of a Xbox 360 version and the last seconds of the video show messages of a possible PS3 exclusivity and a big announcement in this E3.

At Haze website there is no Xbox logo, only PS3.

We will know whether this is true or not next week at E3.

But I believe there planning a timed exclusive for the ps3 since we the Xbox 360 community gets Halo 3, sony paid big bucks to have a similar game at that time, however it wont be released until 2008 so it's not really competition. Sony fanboys as is their nature dont care about the so called beast that is Halo, for them the games that are coming around that time are more worthwhile singleplayer experiences and if they can improve warhawk on par with what halo multiplayer is gonna get from its beta version the multiplayer is pretty much covered.

I frankly after the dissapointment of Halo 2 singleplayer the game doesnt even convince me to get a 360, only to go splitscreen at a friends house, if i ever get a 360 it would be a rent only title unlike gears.

And there is the possibilty (need to see it next week) that it might pale in comparison to the nemesis designed by guerrilla if history fails to repeat itself but that is only a possibility.

Let the PS3 have it as an Exclusive, you have Halo 3 and that will sell a SHlT load more than Haze. The Developers are PS fanboys just like the Burnout developers, if the PS3 was selling well Burnout paradise would be PS3 exclusive... But thats not the case. My opinion is this, if the ps3 sales pick up and sony makes some $$$$ haze will be ps3 exclusive. BUT, if the ps3 is still selling nothing this fall the game will go multi. I dont know but Ubi officially confirmed that the game is coming for 360 and PC. The publisher's release date calender even had the game listed for all three systems and while PS3 price drop may be really effective, I still believe Haze will be multi like previous Free Radical games (Second Sight and Timesplitters).

It does not include the ones that are being repaired frig. Also bear in mind that the 360 ha the highest console to game ownership ration of any console. Therefore on average even if there were on 3M PS3's and 3M 360's more game would be sold on the 360

The real reason Haze is being delayed for the 360 is because it would die a certain and painful death if it was released any where near the approaching elminio that is Halo 3. It makes sense to hold of until the storm dies down.

Right. Ubidays. This info and this footage was from before the Ubidays. After Ubidays the news came out a couple of times that Haze leading platform is PS3 but it'll also be on 360 and PC.

Even a leading platform doesn't say that much. VF5's leading platform is PS3. But still the 360 gets better framerate, graphics, lightning and online when it arrives this fall.

Although it's funny. The 360 doesn't need Haze with Halo 3 upcoming. But the PS3 needs Haze to have something to put up to Halo 3. Thus, it would be no real loss for the 360, it's only in PS3's interest to have it exclusive. Too bad for PS fanboys if once again this rumour isn't correct.

For Xbox 360 fans, while they may want to play the game but do you know how many good titles coming out this fall/winter for the Xbox360? Plenty. Quite frankly, it is an FPS game and most people are gonna be like Haze who, when Halo 3 drops, as well as other games.

I never seen PS3 fans so excited for an FPS game, but yet, so quick to bash the 360 for having too many. Still the top selling game for PS3 has been an FPS shooter, go figure.

I don't think this game will stay exclusive, because if developers are smart, they will see that FPS genre, is something the xbox360 has been good at. Same with Playstation and RPG games, as well as others. Anyhow, nobody is going to be loosing sleep over this game with so many good games coming out. Not saying it might be a decent game but it's not Halo, and it would of been a dumb move to release this with Halo around the same time. Similar to why certain albums under certain record lables don't drop the same dates. Your always in competition with the next best thing, so you choose your spots. I threw this game in the back burner, for when it comes out on PS3 first, which I still think it is timed, maybe all the bugs and kinks and Framerate issues will be ironed out by spring 2008.(my specualtion)

So many games, Haze is at the bottom of the list. I could easily see why it would be up there on a PS3 gamers list. Sony needs games period. Take whatever you can get, even if you have first dibs.

Metal Gear Solid might come out this christmas...but we all know deep in our hearts that it is not comming out till next fall 2008.

They are going to be over 30 GBs in game data for MGS4 on the PS3. This game was designed for the PS3 hardware meaning that they will use bluray..and the Cell processor. They have been working on MGS4 for over 2 years..just like killzone, even though MGS4 is thirdparty.

If and if they ever release a Metal Gear Solid 4 game on the Xbox 360...it will be a watered down striped down game. Lets face it.

Drakes Fortune is rumored to be over 30 gigs, and Haze is rumored to be over 25 gigs on the PS3...and used streaming from the harddrive...

The PS3 is about to become unto its own after Killzone 2, Haze, Drakes Fortune, MGS4, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Ratchet and Clack, Warhawk, and Socom Confrontation...

1) Sony is not willing to pay for exclusivity... They said... Developers are not getting any money and therefore have no reason why it should be exclusive.

2) XBox 360 have a larger installbase and they are guaranteed to make more money. So, why would they make it a PS3 only? If anything it makes business sense to make it for the console with the largest installbase if they are going for exclusive.

You're in Denial it was white color because of the light and the thing had the shape of a PS3 controller and even on previous scenes when the dude is working on frame rate the PS3 CONTROLLER was blurred out too also if it was the 360 the blur should have been half the screen.

Yes Xbots, it means 360 is better because of more dev time (Oblivion) but also because it uses version C of the arcade software, instead of version B like VF5 for PS3.

A game which began on PS3 will obviously be superior to 360 if only because of the vastly superior hardware. Watch Burnout and Haze =) Or hell, watch HS, Uncharted, R&C, Lair etc. All much more impressive than anything on 360 so far.

Haze is shaping up to be AAA - the denial here is priceless. However, I think it will come out for 360 and PC. You'll be playing Haze when we're playing Bioshock, SC5, Ace Combat 6, Beautiful Katamari, Fatal Inertia and Eternal Sonata on our PS3s.

Whats up with all these PS3 exclusive rumors, Free Radical has said its coming to the Xbox 360 and PC as well.

The PS3 is their main system, then porting it to the PC and Xbox. That's probably why the Dev's were using PS3 controllers.

And, if Ubisoft is the publisher they'll make it go multi-platform, it's going to go the way of GRAW and Rainbow 6. But, I think Haze will come out for PS3 first, then the Xbox/PC version a couple months after.

Haze is on all platforms. it's only timed as an exclusive. what should it matter to you all any way. what matters is that the ps3 has it as the lead platform. and as for the VF5 thing. the only thing thats better is the Online which Sega can very well update with means of a downloadable patch. and if you think that it isn't that simple then tell that to Evolution studios becaus ethey just added a downloadable patch to the Japanese version that lacked the Online play functionanlity. better frame rate.. for VF5 hardly. VF5 still looks better on PS3 and i've seen the hi res screens on the 360 version and compared it to MY ps3 version . VF5 looks just a little Meh if you ask me on the 360. and back to haze it'll look great no matter what. they are looking at the PS3 first and everything else secondary. when it comes to the xbox360 it'll look greatr stop all this freakin whinning

First time I see anything official from this game was in the Ubidays videos and a Dev itself calls it a PS3 game. No coments on another plataform, no suspect plurals in "console" - at least as far as I notice...

That time 'till now, it never was take as multiplataform, even when that one-week-crapy-new comes, if you was smart enough to get in their official site, you "maybe" had notice no Xbox logo, no PC logo...

I know too that we are talking about "Ubiport", so that must be multiplataform, a timed-exclusive at max. But that don't make any trash from the web official, the game remains exclusive from it's official announce 'till now...

I'm bit feared that samething goes on SC: Conviction. As Haze will no engage with Halo at start, SC will just do the same with Metal Gear... After the launch period, I believe that they could cross-plataform, so Ubi can raise the profits...

Anyway I don't care, haven't seen all those quality games from Ubi lately (I'm not exactally a FPS fan as maybe you have noticed) and any system it goes, if good, I'll play.

At about 6:45 you'll clearly see a 360 pad on the floor. You'll also notice a Gamecube under the PS3, so it's probably going to be ported to the Gamecube.

This was filmed in April, which as far as I can tell was 3 months ago, so it's not recent, also they've announced since this was filmed that it's multiplatform.

to me personally.There's plenty of good games coming on both platforms,so it's no biggie if either side loose one or two.However,If i had to predict anything about exclusives at this moment in time it would be this;i believe the only PS3 exclusives you are likely to see in the near future are from Japanese Developers.Put plainly, this is linked to the substantially smaller numbers of PS3's currently sold, when compared to 360 sales.Not a bash at any console, but obviously Devs want to maximise sales, so unless you have a reason other than financial,you are gonna either go 360 exclusive(larger number of sales) multiplatform,no money from either MS or Sony, or PS3 exclusive hence the Japanese Devs who have a 'special'or maybe long term relationship with Sony.Of course,there will be exceptions,because Sony own some European Dev's anyway,but i'm sure you get the gist of what i'm saying.All things being equal, i suspect Haze will turn out to be multiplatform, but thats the best option for gamers, isn't it?

Well it won't because there are to few units sold of the PS3. 360 sold 4 x as much units.

360 has sold with 14 games more then a million copies
WIth a couple of those more then 2 million
Gears sold already over 5 million

Ninja Gaiden Sigma sold 450.000 copies
And Resistance, sold what, the only game that sold a few million.

Now there you go. Ubisoft is a 3rd party, commercial company. Shareholders, maximizing profit etc.

Only thing would be if Sony would cough up a lot of money. Which could be their strategy, to have something against Halo 3 this fall. Killzone 2 delayed, so that one can't hold against Halo 3. Haze could do a 'bit' but not as much as KZ2.

But Sony also slipped on Assassins Creed, were Ubi almost 'asked' Sony to pay up to get it exclusive. They didn't. Because Sony doesn't have much money to spend. Not as much as MS having 50 billion Dollars in the bank free to spend

I'll give it a timed exclusive only because, like some one mentioned above, developers want to maximize profits, and any shooter being released around the time of Halo 3 is gonna get overshadowed regardless if that game is better than Halo 3 or not!! that game would have to compete with Halo 3 an the HYPE that is Halo 3 an developers know that. I think in this case a delayed release would benefit the developer more than a THIS holiday Release. an just my opinion I think that the Halo hype train is gonna run atleast for a few months, tv commercials, pepsi, some fast food joint, (BK,Mcdonalds) so as a developer, publisher, I wouldnt want my hard work to get overshadowed. if it was a lesser franchise to compete against I would say go head to head as see who's the best, but there will be TOO MUCH put into the Halo HYPE to fight that!!

Who cares if it is PS3 exclusive or not? It isn't like half of the 360's library isn't run and gun anyway. People can speculate all they want, but there's no 360 logo on the offical game site. So that's probably a pretty big hint that a PS3 version will be released before a 360 version. But it is Ubisoft, so probably going to go multiplat sooner or later anyway. They're like the king of ports at this point.

Now, what's the big deal if this is true??? if it is a PS3 exclusive. GOD knows we need games and is not like we have a lot of FPS's..
