Sony reveals PSN E3 coverage plans

SCEA has revealed its plans to offer PlayStation Network coverage of the E3 Media & Business Summit.
Consumers will be able to download E3 content onto their PS3 consoles directly from the PlayStation Store, including the entire SCEA press conference to be held on July 11th.

You do realize that PS3 wasn't even out last E3, right? There's no reason to believe they wouldn't have presented coverage like this given the opportunity.

There's no "fault" to it. Their system wasn't out, and yet you're claiming they should have somehow had demos and video downloadable to the machine. Unless they can shift time, there's no way they could have done it last year. It's a multimedia machine with internet access; I'm just saying there's no reason to assume that such a LOGICAL path as providing coverage would have escaped them. And I neither own nor follow the PSP, so I have no idea what networking issues you're referring to. As I understand it, you're supposed to be able to play online via wireless, and stream data from a PS3. If it does or doesn't do these flawlessly, I dont know.

In Ninja Theory's last interview (approx 2-3 days ago) they said a demo of heavenly sword would be arriving very very soon. So i assume that means the week of e3, so if nothing else there will be at least a demo of heavenly sword which will be awesome :)

on a side note my cousin's friend's sister who works at circuit city AND best buy told me that their annual catalog had mentions of ps3 providing e3 downloadable content back in january, and the sony protection group verified it! eurogamers said it was just a ripoff of youtube.com (because they already provide videos) so they gave ps3 a 7/10 for it...

Has anyone forgotten the fact that Sony just got an online service when the PS3 launched. I'm tired of hearing that it's not as good as Live. Well, right now it shouldn't be. This is new territory for Sony and personally I think they have done a good job so far. How long has Live been running. Going on 6 years with Xbox included. They have also had almost 2 years to work with 360's Live. Plus, it's free yet everyone wants every feature in the world. So who is paying for all this. I wouldn't be surprised if Sony starts charging for the service. The more they add to PSN they more people want. I have a 360 also and Live is great but I also have common sense to tell me that it will take some time for PSN to mature. Features that people are complaining are coming and some have already been solved. I guess you CAN SAY THAT SONY DOESN'T LISTEN TO THEIR COSTUMERS. I'll be the one person who will praise Sony for what they have done so far with PSN. Home is just the beginning of something great. Not matter what Sony does it's not good enough. They copy everyone.
