Bodycount: Console shooter from creators of Black

The next shooter from the creators of PS2 and Xbox shooter Black has been unveiled in the latest issue of the Official Xbox Magazine.

Developed by Codemasters' Guildford team, Bodycount is a shooter to keep your eyes on. This is because the Guildford team features several key members from Criterion's Black team, and is headed by Stuart Black who was co-creator on the FPS that shares his name

Hmm..I hope theres actually an MP mode in this game, unlike Black. Its gunna be close to impossible for anyone to beat BC2 on destructibility on online multi.

techie5165d ago

I can't see the game coming out without MP.

nskinnear5165d ago

I just hope the MP gets a lot of time and effort. I want something that can last me a year or so, not just a couple months...

That character on the cover reminds me a whole lot of that class in Shadow Run on the 360. I think it was the Troll class...

DarkMantrid5165d ago (Edited 5165d ago )

I'll definitely keep an eye on this game.

Black was an amazing game graphically! I loved the destruction and the gameplay was pretty solid, and had a few stealth elements to it, unlike most modern CODs where its just usa vs taliban charge in spray everything.. I'd like just an improvement on black with online MP which they spend a lot of time on - imo, online MP is necessary for most FPS now, and I think if they made the online as good as Killzone 2/COD4/Halo then I'm sure a lot of people would buy day 1... but that's easier said than done unfortunately.

i enjoyed the first one on PS2, i hope this one can stack up against the rest of the modern FPS now days

I was all ears for this news 'till Socom 4 was announced. Not that I'm no longer interested, I still am, but it will need to show a lot more than I was expecting before to justify another shooter this year (getting MAG next week, planning on get Socom 4 on release and at least take a good look at Halo Reach).

Hm. Image reminds me of The Club.

nskinnear5165d ago

The Club... I remember that game. That was pretty underrated, IMO.

Convas5165d ago

... is that guy on the cover Cel-shaded, and is that in-game? That looks incredible. I'm officially interested in this title!

nskinnear5165d ago

It could just be some sort of artwork (the background at least), but I agree... the art style looks interesting.

nskinnear5165d ago

Hmm... hopefully they can create something decent. I'm pretty tired of all these FPSes this gen.
