teh cells lost brain5197d ago

that vid was garbage, couldnt even see what was going on the whole time and that lame voice acting , made me want to pull my ears off.....now im pissed off. so god damn cliche theres a reason this game got canned its 2 generations too late......and lame.....

Tony P5197d ago

If this is a representation of what the final builds would have looked like, it's lacking a heck of a lot.

I hope whoever finishes it can turn it from the butt of every industry joke into a solid game. Duke deserves that.

Bilbo655197d ago

What voice acting? It was music/voices from the 1st game with gameplay behind it, plus the video capture was crap. it defiantly needs polish but it didn't look that bad

DarkTower8055197d ago

Wow, I actually feel sort of embarrassed for the devs after seeing that video.

The Lazy One5197d ago

that video was leaked a while ago. It looks way better than this one :-/

zag5196d ago

3D realms went bankrupt as take 2 took their cash out of the company.

Though Take 2 own the rights to Duke forever I think and might be making it with another company.

I think gorge is trying to keep 3D realms alive but with what or how I don't know.

He of cause still whinges about people seeing stuff about it.

overall I think this game is pretty much finshed up unless take 2 are making it.

If that was 3D realms version of the game looks pretty plain compared to the other game engines out there, though I quite liked the wild west bit that looked pretty good.

please, just let this game go to either video game heaven or hell already.

I'd rather have a 2D Duke Nukem side-scroller where you go around collecting gum.

I think his avatar is from 3D Dot Game Heroes.

El_Colombiano5197d ago

Colombian =/= Latin

Good job.

Polluted5197d ago

This game won't happen, but I bet someone competent does something with the ip eventually. After all the money Take-Two invested I imagine they'll win the legal battle and put some other team to work on a Duke game.

EKWB reportedly plagued with financial disarray many gaming pc's left without parts

EK Cooling allegedly has slipped itself into a hot soup of seemingly endless financial woes, where it has not paid its staff, suppliers, and contractors for many months as the company is facing liquidity problems and a surplus of inventory left unsold, stuck in the warehouse for a more extended period. Gamers Nexus investigated these claims made by former and current personnel, where he found trails of unpaid bills lasting as long as three to four months and unpaid raises that accumulated for almost a year.

EK Water Blocks has two entities—a Slovenian-based headquarters and a US-based subsidiary, EK Cooling Solutions. Steve narrated the series of events in detail, stating that the company was reportedly irresponsible and negligent regarding payment. Consequently, partners and employees are forced to share the burden of alleged mismanagement. It all begins with its extensive range of products, leading to a surplus of goods. EK has over 230 water blocks, 40 liquid cooling kits, 85 reservoirs, 40 pumps, 73 radiators, and 212 miscellaneous accessories.

Yes this is not about video games directly but indirectly this will impact the pc gaming/workstation space hard.

This company is massive one of two in the water cool space so if it goes poof then thousands out there have no spare parts or half built computers.

SO yeah i know not about a video game but think of it as amd leaving the pc space but this is ekwb that could be leaving water cooling in the pc space

Jayz2cents a supporter of there products also has issues

As someone that has built a watercooling rig. EK is big, but there's so many numerous watercooling part companies out there. EK's stuff isn't exactly amazing quality for the price compared to others either, it's just ok. Much like Corsair. The impact would be negligible long term. For perspective the majority of my parts are XSPC, at most I use EK for my gpu waterblocks and fittings. Both easily replaceable.
