No More Heroes PS3, 360 Scans

SCRAWL: "Suda 51 told us in the past that No More Heroes "needs a new platform", and now it's getting two. The latest issue of Famitsu has announced that No More Heroes is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The title of the game is No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise. The game, launching at 5,800 Yen in February 2010 for Japan, features a brand new Advance Mode, Japanese dubbing, and some Erotic Portrait (whatever that means). That's the best GAF can provide us with for now. "

Interesting, I played it on the Wii and I really didn't find it that great. The lack of polish on the graphics really turned me off. (I'm not talking the art style, more the interior walls and stuff) The textures and interior layout design felt like a 64 game. However I did enjoy the action in the game, if this game ups the polish more I will definitely be looking into purchasing this game.

From the looks of it, it appears to be a straight port of the original game with Japanese dubbing, standard controls, and a mode where the female characters wear alternate costumes. Enhanced graphics are assumed but unverified due to Famitsu's infamously terrible screenshotting process.

Hopefully on PS3 and X360 version, there wouldn't be a lot of pause, press a few buttons, continue, pause, press a few buttons during battles.

I played the Wii version and it was a joke trying to fight in the battles. During the battle, the game would pause every few seconds asking the gamers to shake Wiimote in certain way, continue, pause, continue pause. It was probably because Wiimote is so inaccurate that the game needs to pause to ensure the gamer has enough time to shake Wiimote in certain way than simply use very loose motion accuracy to play the game continuously.

Bring Madworld, Murasama, The Conduit and Monster Hunter 3, then you can burn every Wii in the world, since they become useless.
If the devs wants to recoup some money, then this is the way to do it.

With every hardcore/mature Wii games sell very poorly on Wii, if the games ported to PS3 and X360 sell better than Wii, maybe the game publishers would give up on Wii.

Nintendo did too good of a job selling Wii to casual gamers and they are stuck with casual gamers wanting simple games. Shaking the Wiimote like crazy doesn't mean the gamer knows how to play the games.

It's funny really, reading this. If you're all hardcore gamers, and love Suda, why then did his first Wii game sell more with an install base of 50million than his PS2 game, with an install base of 140million?

Suda's games are usually great games, and do deserve great sales, but they are niche titles. Having his first Wii game sell more than his PS2 game (Killer7 if anyone didn't know) may actually be more down to the control style than the art style (considering the style is very similar to Killer7).

Will NMH lose some of its quirky appeal if motion control is stripped out? Will it get lost in the vast number of core titles on the HD consoles?

NMH is much more conventional than Killer 7 and not nearly as confusing , be it in the realisation , or the gameplay anyway .

It was some weird fps art project on rail with puzzles . i found it awesome personally , as did the few people who even tried it , but it didnt stand any chances on any platform given it's gameplay and concept .

NMH however is your conventional and straighforward action game (yet awesome) , underneath the coating of awesome art and universe .

It does stand a good chance on platforms favorables to the like of DMC , bayonetta , gow , ninja gaiden , etc etc ...

Aside from having killable enemies, No More Heroes's gameplay has almost nothing in common with any of those.

Yep, this is good news for people who don't have a Wii but want to play the game.

It's kinda funny that it's Modern Warfare in reverse, you guys will be getting a port of the original at about the same time as the sequel is released.

Some people think it's a straight port (with some added content), which will be epic fail if true, it wasn't exactly pushing the Wii to begin with.

Highly doubt it because of the bias. NMH is a great game, kinda bland but a great game. Suda wants more sales, but he should know the mentality of HD gamers, they will get bored of this pretty fast, like the Wii owners did.

Hopefully, NMH2 will fix some of the problems that its predecessor had.
