Wow just can't believe how dumb some 360 people are, they just blame an say its Sony's fault just because they are made that their online is about the same as PS3.

Anyways even if I had a 360 -_- I wouldn't buy this game over the PS3 copy, mostly because I love the free online play on the PS3 and 360's and PS3 online is the same, all I need a 360 for is Halo an that is it and the be the only game I play online alot.

I gout about 4 trophy's the night I got the game an played one game online, I got kick off after that game, most likely to many people online. I think not alot of people were thinking their was going to be alot of PS3 users playing this game an that is why the online crash.

I was at GameStop the other day, an a lady an her kid wanted to get a new system, my friend told her that the 360 comes with games an all, then I walk in an said but PS3 comes with free online an Wifi build in to get wireless internet, then I add that the controller that comes with the system has rechargeable battery build in it and you wouldn't have to pay to get one.

She then said they wanted the PS3 because of all the free stuff that comes with, but keep in mind this was just a looking for a system for X-Mas.

ps3 version is not broken.. rather, it was the dev that bought into the xbox hyped, and actually believe that huge majority of MW2 players are from Xbox. hence they allocated only a small amount of server resources for the ps3.

PSN really need to stop putting up the least amount of servers (then add more as need) during game launch week. they need to change the way their launch MP games. put up as much servers as they can, and just keep taking them down as time go by man.

And this is why I have no problem paying a little over $4 a month for Xbox Live. Because then it is guaranteed to work for us Xbox 360 gamers. PSN is free, which means it is always riddled with problems and errors, and they go on unfixed because sony just simply doesn't have the money to fix them.

The demon ware servers are contracted by Infinity Ward and Activision were overloaded and some servers failed. Because of this issue Sony stopped access to the Call of Duty servers to keep this problem from causing conflict with PSN. It is not Sony's Mistake or even Demon wares mistake, server failures happen and even so it took less than a day to fix the problem, unlike when Xbox live has server problems where it has taken as much as a week or more to fix

With Sony most of the third party Multi player game servers are handle by the developer and publisher. Even with Xbox live EA handle the servers for it's games.

Why are people turning a Mo hill into a mountain. Xbox 360 fanboys acting like Xbox live has never had a server problem when it has on several occasions and impatient PS3 fanboys's trying to find someone to blame. Things happen, it only took a small amount of time to get this game back online.

Because they gave 360 owners more marketing and support for the game, then they giving PS3 owners because they have a big install base. Don't do for one if your not going to do for the other. PS3 install base is just as big, but we don't pay to be online. So get it fix, we paid our hard earn money to be online you Activison J@CK@$$E$.

The server farm company, Demonware is owned by Activision. .So it is their fault, not Sony's

It sounds more like Sony didn't spend enough money on adequately allocating servers for this game. This happened to MS a few Christmases back and we got a free game.

I'm sure theres a lot of judicial factors involved. Who ever we can blame, its Infinity Ward for their lack of support for PS3, thats all.

It's explained that Xbox takes care of the online for MW2 while some third party takes care of the servers for MW2 on PSN.

Now, you get what you pay for so I find nothing wrong with LIVE working so well why the PS3 version gets the bumpy ride.

Bowling has recently updated us saying it was the onslaught of thousands of players signing in at once that overloaded the PSN version and 20k at a time can currently sign in. So they are essentially allowing 20k people and then 20k more, etc. etc until the servers can hold the 200,000 players I saw last night.

Again none of this is too shocking, I expected the PSN to experience more problems than XBL. It would be more upsetting if a paid-for service like XBL experienced problems while the PSN version didn't. I dont know why Sony isn't handling MW2 for PSN and why it has been passed off to some 3rd person party, but I better get the same experience when all of this is fixed. The PS3 version always get neglected when it comes to sloppy ports, online, etc.

I've been dying to play all day but I guess this is a good thing, I can now finish my essay and try signing in later.

A few Christmases back, MS had their servers go down as well. Anyhow, I prefer that the company maintaining the servers are the company that sells the consoles.

I don't understand why you would outsource to a third party something that important.

They were a couple of people who said they were kicked out in signed out of in the middle of a game now imagine a few tens of thousand people who tried to login back in and go back to the game they were playing........and boom you get this but it's hard to imagine that the problem hasn't been fixed yet.

Not saying XBL is foolproof, but I expected this to happen to the PSN version. PS3 versions always get screwed up one way or another. It's a simple historical fact :)

With XBL going down back then, they at least gave out a token to download a game for free, but that was their whole service if I'm not mistaken.
