The game looks just fine, not the best out there as far as graphics go, but it looks pretty good.

Lens of truth seem to be giving a bit of miss information or slanted information in this comparison. The load times on the Xbox 360 version are just as long with motion blur turned on. The PS3 version has 2x AA and the Xbox 360 version does not have AA at all. The PS3 version looks better with motion blur turned off than the Xbox 360 version. The PS3 version has better sound and the better controller for this type of game.

Most sites are saying the PS3 version is the better version of the game and even the developer has said the same.

Beware of sites that use the words truth or honest in there titles.

LOT is fast becoming a joke. Just look at their comparison of BlazBlu. Both games identical, 360 version loads a second or two faster, 360 version suffers from horrible control (they even talk about how frustrating it is). Winner: Tie?

Or look at their comparison of Wolfenstein. Again, both games identical. 360 versions suffers from performance issues and screen tearing which the PS3 versions doesn't. PS3 version has an extra 8 seconds of loading between levels. Winner: Another Tie?
Again, in what world does 8 seconds of load time difference between levels trump "Almost every time you would fire a weapon a screen tear would result. However the PlayStation 3 was completely opposite"

Come on, LOT! If you're going to do these type of comparisons, they're best done without your heads up your asses. Use some common sense.

Granted not that significant, it is still an edge especially after an installation on the PS3, the 360 is still faster by a small margin.

It looks too dated and took WAY too long to hit retail. I replaced it with R&C:ACIT on my purchase list for Best Buy tomorrow. I usually just rent R&C game because I blow through them but at least Insomniac earns my money. Namco doesn't with this watered down version of Tekken. I think SCIV looks better and that's sad considering when SCIV came out.

The facts are, that Tekken6, developed FIRST on ps3 arcade hardware, looks identical on the 360 (perhaps even with better AA on the 360, imo) albeit with MAJOR loading time improvements!

I feel it funny that, when presented with these facts, darkride66 seems entirely unable to accept them for what they are.
Instead, we can observe him, in this very thread, damage controlling, spinning, distracting, improperly refuting and outright lying.

Why does the arcade version (which came out in 2007) looks a lot better than this? I find it funny that the Xbox fanboys are claiming victory on this even though the PS3 version still looks better. The funny thing is that developers claimed that they had to go through hurdles to make the 360 version on par with the PS3 version. The ugly truth is that they probably had to dumb down the PS3 version so that they would both look more or less on par with each other. The Arcade version is proof of that.

What's sad is how E3 2005 had a Tekken 6 bullshot trailer, lol. So much for this crap, namco.

Time #2 (loading characters and preparing to fight) 11 – 12.2 seconds

As for LOT, I have nothing against them. They're a little hit and miss but ultimately I think they have an interesting little site. I actually wish they'd cover more than the fraction of multiconsole games that they have been, and scrap demo comparisons altogether.

My real beef is with those who labor under the false assumption that LOT's conclusions are beyond reproach. Their conclusions, as many have already pointed out, are simply their opinions and as such are subject to their own biases and interpretation. This was what I was trying to illustrate with my examples above.

Personally, I don't use them at all as my own experiences have taught me that I can't trust my 360 hardware thusly I buy all exclusives on the system that actually runs them reliably. That doesn't somehow exclude me from being able to voice my opinion with regards to other opinions I come across on the web. My thoughts on these matters are just as valid as anyone else.

Actually SFIV won on the Xbox 360 due to 2xAA and additional effects (specular, shadows, etc). Tekken 6 is a tie because neither version has AA out of the box. Both version perform the same, as you can see in the video. And they judged the loading out of the box as well, which is another reason SFIV lost on the PS3.

The story mode (not sure of its real title) interests me, reminds me of Tekken Force back in the day. But the franchise doesnt seemed to have moved on enough for me, looks like Tekken 5DR with ever so slightly better graphics. not full of crap...consistent. They take an out of the box approach to comparing games. Unwrap, drop in and play. They did the additional install and it did help in speed. But if you are playing online, you can't bet on everyone installing and so prepare to wait longer.

I still can't grasp as to why Namco made the install optional on the PS3 in the first place. Did you see how long it took to load in the video! I could go and make a sandwich in that time. Mmm....sandwich.

Overall, not impressed with this game. I love some Tekken, but this will be a bargain bin buy for me.

It seems Light hasn't noticed the before and after shots of FF13. Tekken took a gimping as well. Funny thing is major tournys in the fighting game scene only use the PS3. Having a final with RRoD or frame rate drops because the 360 is over heating as it does would be bad.

Well i think the game looks alot better than DR. The animations are redone with new ones. Theres new moves and new aspects of the gameplay causing you to adjust. I said it before, what took so long? I played this two years ago in Japan at the Namco arcade in Umeda, Osaka. Either they added a ton of new stuff to justify the time, or it just was hell porting it to the 360.

And they clearly don't understand what the Full/Limited range option is about. One is right and one is wrong, which is what depends on your TV/monitor. It is pointless comparing them. (If you got a HDTV, Limited is almost guaranteed to be the correct option - It is the default option for a reason)

And about the Super White setting... It doesn't even affect games. It only affects the YPb/CbPr/Cr video mode and games always run in the RGB video mode. /facepalm

That fact that you think limited is the right choice proves that you know nothing about this. Limited is used primarily for older TV's where the standard black level range is 16-235. Full on the other hand is to be used on HDTV's (as long as it supports it) and is 0-255. /facepalm

Perhaps someone can list up the HDTVs that support full range? It will be a short list. It's not because they suck, it's because the socalled limited range is the standard for even new TVs. The "new TVs support full range" thing is a myth, probably born from the fact that "Full" sounds better than "Limited", and new stuff is better right?

The options should be called "TV Mode" (Limited) and "PC Mode" (Full), because in practice, that's what it is. That way, so many wouldn't be using the wrong setting, like those who disagreed :)

You don't have to just believe me, because you can check it out yourself by displaying an image with the darkest blacks and turning up the brightness. (You'll have to create this image yourself or search for one). Set the range to Full and see if you can see the different gradients. You probably aren't. Then set the range to Limited, recalibrate your TV and enjoy an improved image :)

As I said, the default setting is Limited for a reason, and that reason is that most people connect their PS3 to a TV, not a PC Monitor.

this game is based off the ARCADE machine that's based off of PS3 hardware, so you cant blame anything on anybody but either konami or the PS3.they built a game for the PS3 then made it work on the 360 an it LOOKS an plays just like they intended, the only problem here is this game and graphics is already 2 yars old so at this point there's nothing jaw dropping about it. so ya'll need to stop saying it was gimped because of the 360, this game looks just like it was SUPPOSED to look its just 2 years old now!! but dont ya'll think its a little ironic that the 360 continues to handle EVERYTHING that was born on the PS3 an run it identical!!

Didn't think i would have to sign up, but i had too because of all this hate towards the game. I don't think any of you complaining about the graphics actually played the game if you did you would keep quiet and secondly i do prefer the ps3 version for two reasons one of which is the control and secondly i just think the the lighting on the 360 version is a bit too bright for my liking. with that said those who want the game go out and get it on the console of your choice and hopefully i will see you online. And for those of you who thinks the game is crap and disappointing just stay away from forums and off the games nuts.

Is it me, or does the rollover with Heihachi show better lighting on the PS3? Could be brightness setting. Motion blur is b1tchin, but too much jaggies on both systems. Too bad they didn't factor in controller as a part of the equation cuz I'd rather have the dualshock and have longer loading.

Well a majority of AAA titles will be better on the 360. History has shown this time and time again. When a game is developed on the 360 the best the PS3 can hope for is a tie.

Tekken 6 was built on the PS3 and ported the the 360. People just don't want to admit that 360 games are sub-par when ported from the PS3.

Controls mean more to me,I have a 360 and a ps3. .and seeming as I still regret buying Soul Calibur 4 on 360 and wish I could play DOA4 with X,0,square and triangle.like I did with DOA 1 and 2,I really dont care if they said the 360 loads 10secs quicker.rather have a fun bout after that load time than a b1tch of a round cursing that doing juggle combos with Kazuya with a dpad taking 2 seconds to respond like the 360s would make me regret buying it for 360.plus,I wont renew my gold account.so PSN for me.

im sorry guys im not really biased but u can clearly see the ps3s lighting focus and textures are was tighter in the ps3 version not to meantion the ps3 controller is better for fighters cause the D-pad but then again this game wouldn't be the same without a arcade stick but i would go with the ps3 one

i have played the 360 modded t6br and the ps3 version(just bought it last night) and....

with motion blur on, they are both identical with the exception of lighting with neither version having an edge on the other one.

with motion blur off, the 360 version slightly(ever so slightly) displaying jaggies. it is noticeable if you play on a big HD screen(mine is a 50" sony) the ps3 character details are slightly more detail. you have really got to stare at the screen to notice any differences, and i am talking about a 50"HD screen

i don't think the lens of truth was truthful about the load times, one installed on my ps3 the loading times were 8 seconds before a match.

the arcade version of tekken6br looks better.........something happened during the translation to consoles...
