Jennifer Allen of TheGameReviews speculates on whether we'll be playing Killzone 3 in 2010, a possible sequel to Tales of Vesperia, and Xbox Live's rumored price hike.
Gary Green said: We have a juxtaposition of 2D and 3D visuals, flashy turn-based combat, quirky anime characters with cheeky dialogue with plenty of partial nudity; Yes, this is a Compile Heart JRPG. Whilst the engine is borrowed from Hyperdimension Neptunia mk2, Mugen Souls is more of a Disgaea spin-off. It’s not a strategy RPG as such, it merely sits within Disgaea’s ever-expanding universe (Multiverse? Netherverse? Your guess is as good as mine). You won’t find cameos though, since Mugen Souls is a franchise which aims to stand on its own two feet.
Huzaifa from eXputer: "2008 was home to the likes of Call of Duty: World at War, Dead Space, GTA 4, Far Cry 2, Left 4 Dead, and many other hits, which is outright remarkable."
Just about every year in the 7th generation was great and something we most likely won't experience again.
2009 for example had Assassin's Creed 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Uncharted 2, Halo 3: ODST, Killzone 2, Borderlands, Bayonetta, and Demon's Souls to name a few.
While the mainstream media always sees things turning in favor of the hero, here are 6 games that own being a bad guy.
Pretty much all of these games listed are based around a morality system you don't have to be bad and you don't have to be good.
It seems to have left out some real amazing games like red dead redemption 1/2,ass effect and true crime la/ny
Armored Core VI?
Ok, I'm really missing something here. Just beat chapter 3 earlier this evening, unlocked A-rank Arena fights. I'm not seeing or sensing any branching paths or morality system and I've done every side mission and arena fight available to me up to that fight.
Is something big coming soon to branch the story?
No mention of Grand Theft Auto? Saints Row (original trilogy), Manhunt? Also The Suffering (depending on the ending you get).
And fanboys will find more meaningless reasons to hate on this Killzone game, too.
PS3 is on a roll. God of War 3, Heavy Rain, MAG, the next Insomniac game, and Gran Turismo 5 all coming next year....and possibly Killzone 3? Holy crap.
1. Killzone 3- It's in development but IMO it won't release till 2011
with MAG and some say RESISTANCE 3 and STARHAWK plus QUANTUM THEORY coming 2010, that's too much Exclusive Shooters for the PS3 for 1 year, not only will they be eating at each other's sales but online play time as well, so I think Killzone will be held in reserve.
2. It will depend on how the PS3 version will do in the west.
3. Who knows? But one thing is for sure MS loves money.
Just because you like COD4 noob style controls doesn't make this game horrible especially if I finished it on Veteran and Elite without any problems. Try again fanboy
So were getting Resistance 3 and Killzone 3 in 2010
really... heres a thing how bout after that lets work on the action
rpgs and rpgs Sony... enough with the shooter games
But what the author of this opinion piece (I find it funny it is called rumor killers, when the entire piece itself is rooted in nothing but pure speculation of a single individual, but anyway) doesn't see is that the Killzone graphical/development base has already been established. Certain tweaks here and there can be made to the underlying engine that ran Killzone 2 in order to complete a sequel to Killzone 2.
Does the so-called Rumor Killer here think Guerilla Games is going to take all the technological capital and knowledge capital that it accumulated over the past 5 years developing Killzone 2 and just flush it down the toilet, start anew and take another 5 years of development for their next project?
Edit:
Yes I did read the article. Specifically focusing on this portion: "That Killzone 2 took five years to develop makes the suggestion that Killzone 3 will be out a mere 18 months later very questionable."
