Lost And Damned? No, It's Not Coming

Yesterday, TheSixthAxis excitedly ran with a rumour that Lost and Damned was heading to the PS3 based off the simple fact that screens showing The Lost and Damned were running in a fenced off section of Gamescom with lots of PS3 nearby. Of course, when you've got PS3 Community Moderator Yaster saying things like "they were certainly showing some PS3 love – Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and the Damned was available to play in a special 18+ area" on the EU forums (which was swiftly removed) things click into place faster than we can hit that "publish" button.

So because a select few PS3rd fanboys tell you they don't care about the DLC everybody else feels the same? The Lost and Damned would be a great addition for anybody that owns the original game on the PS3. Saying otherwise is pure BS. Stop being fangirls and admit that it would've been nice to at least have the option of playing the DLC rather then not having it at all. Look, i really don't care cause i have no interest in the GTA series anymore. GTAIV bored me to death after playing for a couple of hours. A few of my friends loved the expansion though.

LOL! You are joking right? I didn't notice what?? I already mentioned that i find GTAIV boring. That doesn't mean that every other gamer feels the same. I know lots of people that still play that game to this day so i am not exactly sure what you're trying to say. I know you think you're the ruler of everything gaming but people do have their own opinions incase you didn't know.

Now answer this. How did your comment succeed when the same makers of GTAIV are making The Agent. Will the Agent be exciting because it's a PS3 exclusive? GTAIV (PS3,360) BORING!! The Agent (PS3) AWESOME because i'm a fanboy and it's a game that 360 owners will not be able to play. Grow up kid!

Once again, stop acting like a loser. The 360 has great games as well. The only difference is i don't need to write up a list of games for everybody to see to make myself happy. I know what games the Xbox 360 has to offer and i couldn't give a crap what's coming out on the PS3 because i'm not planning on buying one anytime soon. Huh? PS3 has GTAIV ($60) without the DLC (hardcore suckage) and Agent ($60) which has no release date (late 2010 maybe?? lol). Xbox 360 has GTAIV ($60) with both DLC's ($15-$20 each). What's you freaking point?? You're comparing two games with a game that has exclusive DLC.

To be fair, Levine had nothing to do with the PS3 version of Bioshock. They basically squeezed him out. Him not working on the sequel wasn't by choice. Most of the Irrational Games team hated working with him and called him an ass. They left and formed 2K Marin and got the go ahead to port the game from Take Two.

Though you have a point about it not being Levine's idea, this isn't the first time a dev or publisher has denied something adamantly only to later say, "we were just kidding. It's not really exclusive."

The Fallout 3 DLC is one example.
Namco's denial of Tales for the PS3 is another.

And although the game wasn't released, SE saying "FF XIII is 100% PS3 exclusive" is another to point to look at.

Let's say i owned a PS3 and was VERY satisfied with what it has to offer in games on online features, why would i need to spend the whole entire day in 360 articles trying to bash a system that i shouldn't give a rats ass about?

Everytime there's an article that's negative about the PS3, all these insecure fangirls on N4G feel the need to show their devoted love to the PS3rd by using every spin they can think of to try and convince themselves and others that because they paid a ridiculous amount for a gaming console, what they say is correct and everybody else (even the pros) are biased.

Why anybody would waste their time trying to prove their purchase is better then the competition, when it's the reason for making their purchase in the first place, is extremely hard to understand. It's jealousy, plain and simple.

As an example, my girlfriend is smoking hot and i know it. So, if one of my friends comes up to me and tells me that they believe there girlfriend is better looking then mine, should i try and prove him wrong? No! I know he's wrong so why would i waste my time arguing with him? If his girlfriend IS better looking and i just don't want to admit it (jealousy), i'll defend her with everything i can think of, just like you PS3rd fangirls do with the Playstation 3.

The PS3 owners that are satisfied with their system don't need to spend time on a message board trying to convince others of something they already know, that there system is the best on the market.

and isn't Square Enix biggest games got exclusivity to PS3? FFXIII in Japan, FFVSXIII and FFXIV...? What about the fact that Lost Planet 2 is now coming to PS3?

And don't get me started on the "all over the world get the best hardware available starting at 179USD!". It is funny you say "starting at" because the elite is now more expensive as the PS3 Slim and doesn't even offer the same kind of hardware.

I had the biggest laugh the other day, seeing people trying to sell faulty 360 online for 30 pounds. You gotta be desperate to be trying to sell faulty used consoles, which have broken disk tray, can't read disks, and RROD all over the place. 54% isn't it?

EDIT: Oh yeah, on topic: I haven't even got round to play GTAIV, but by the time I do finish the DLC should have arrived on the PSN. If not, oh well, I didn't get a PS3 to be playing exclusive DLC anyways.

Two waus of seeing this really. If MS did pay $50million just for DLC I'd damn well nope it stays exclusive if I were them. OR we've heard catagorical denials before about games not going to other systems(Bioshock, Fallout3 DLC, Ninja Gaiden2)and if T2 have a say inthis the contract isn't watertighr, there's still cash to be made from PS3 DLC OR MS payed for TE AND som,ething lese we may still see PS3 content at some point though it's getting a bit late for it even on 360.

TBH I'll be amazed if tBoGT does as well as the last DLC for GTA on 360 as it's just getting so far from the buzz around the initial game whereas, perhaps, if they released both on a standalone disc for PS3 it might feel more like a new game, IDK.

Basically, though, if MS only paid for DLC it should be staying exclusive or they were conned badly and I cannot see that-though there's still the argument that the money was also to ensure they got GTA4 itself day and date with the PS3 version so the water's pretty muddied, no?
