They must think so considering they gave it a 40/40

Lifendz5482d ago

of games to get when I get a 360. Fable 2 is supposedly awesome so I'll be picking that up as well. Hopefully EA considers some sort of collectors edition when/if they release Mass Effect 2 on the PS3 that includes the fist game. Every time I have money for a 360, Sony releases more games!

Same score as Haze? Much lower than The Last Remnant? Famitsu reviews are meaningless? Hmm...

ZuperAmazingCooKie5482d ago

I wonder what this means to them considering it is as good as Haze and worse than The Last Remnant.

SpoonyRedMage5482d ago (Edited 5482d ago )

I don't know what it means, perhaps that despite the limitations in both Mass Effect and The Last Remnant that they're good games? With The Last Remnant being rated higher because it's a Japanese game, much like ME got higher rated in the west because it's a WRPG?

I could certainly see that. I enjoyed both ME and TLR despite their shared flaws.

EDIT: Although ME is certainly better than TLR.

Yea.. Mass Effect is great, in my opinion.
Fable 2 is a good game, as well.

Darn you Sony! >.< Haha.

I'm guessing it was the combat that hurt the overall game a bit. Japan doesn't cream over shooters like we do.

great game overall, some serious flaws that detracted from the overall experience - elevator points, pop-in of pretty much every texture and also a kind of non-emotional, robotic feel to all of the characters, sex scenes were a gimmick too.

MriownBOTH5482d ago

cant wait for mass effect 2 ONLY ON 360

Jockamo5481d ago

"...and also a kind of non-emotional, robotic feel to all of the characters..."

wtf!

iHEARTboobs5481d ago (Edited 5481d ago )

The game is really good from what I've played so far but it does have a lot of technical problems. Unfortunately, I installed it onto my drive yesterday and it didn't really seem to fix anything. That was a bummer. I hope the next one fixes the issues.

shazui1235481d ago

I know this is probably really picky, but the facial animations made it that way for me. I mean even in the sex scenes, where was the pleasure in the woman aliens eyes? ;)

No Way5481d ago (Edited 5481d ago )

I would agree to most of that..
Although, I don't really think they detracted from the game. o.O
Not for me, at least..

But, I don't agree with the "non-emotional, robotic feel to all of the characters."

I guess it matters who you played through the game with? Wrex just had the "whatever" kind of attitude. But, the characters all react differently to certain points and events in the game. Garrus and Ashley are prolly the ones with the biggest emotional pull on the game, from what I've seen and experienced.

Iuno, I guess we just saw things differently.

Good games but no Phantasy Star?

merlox354d ago

Why do people forget Phantasy Star? That is one of my favorite RPG series. Another ther good but overlooked series is ,Y's.

ES3 set things off, it's a shame they got greedy and decided to cut corners so the executives could get huge pay days.

Better not bring back Shepherd from the dead with some half assed space magic.

Snowb420554d ago

If you get your readiness level high enough in Mass Effect 3, *spoilers* you can see Shepard taking in a breath of air under some rubble. It would depend on whichever ending is canon.

Where is my ''Indoctrination Theory'' and ''Destroy'' ending gang at?

FPS_D3TH553d ago

I came here to say the indoctrination theory absolutely solidified the ending of this trilogy for me in the best way

Yui_Suzumiya553d ago

@snowb420.
Yeah I saw that at the end of my play through as well. I think they will bring Shepard back….. or at least a mutant version turned villain. Lol
