Iwata responds to Sony's claim that the Wii owns the closet

Last week, Sony made a comment that the Wii owns the closet. Now Satoru Iwata has responded to that statement.

And honestly I have my PS3 and my 360 hooked up to my t.v. I'd have my Wii hooked up too but my brother uses it. My point is that there are usually enough inputs on a t.v. to hook up all your systems and leave them there.

Personally the Wii interests me very little.

I have always bought nearly every console every generation, but the Wii is a disappointment to me.

Moreover, I know several people that bought into the Wii hype early on and now virtually never use their Wiis.

If I actually owned a Wii it might not be in the closet, but it doubt I would be playing it much.

Anyway...I had my Wii hooked up to my 1080p projector in my home and guess what! It looked like ass. Certainly not meant to be blown up to 92".

I tried it on my 32" TV in hopes that it would entice me to play it a bit more. It didn't. I think my wife put it best when she asked "Am I going to have to point this stupid remote thing at the TV the entire time I'm playing?"
I sold it just before Christmas and have to admit...I feel pretty guilty about it. Like I'm not fit to be called a gamer anymore. I've supported Nintendo for years but I just did not like the Wii, no matter how hard I tried. Just one old guy's opinion.

It was a bit of a hard sell to get my wife on board when we were doing our basement renos but I'm so very glad we did. It's something to have Helghast running at you while you play and have them be FRIGGIN LIFE SIZED!

I think the ps3 is alot more hardcore then the 360, because if you think about it, ps3 has a few casual games, such ass little big planet and Buzz!, while the xbox ranges 100's of kids...i mean "casual" games, plus the ps3's shooting games are alot more intense, and alot harder. Gears of war campaign on insane is a joke.

I bought the wii for my kid for $750. He doesn't even use it anymore because it's boring.
He's 11 & says the wii is for babies. He asked me for a 360 or maybe a ps3.(even he knows the ps3 is a big purchase)

I gave him my entire ps2 collection & bought a new controller for him. My son is very happy after his nintendo dissapointment because the ps2 has more & way better games.

Sorry, 360 fans I didn't even think of getting a 360 because well the whole xboxlive, hardware & lack of anything new & exciting that breaks out of all the recycled clones of ps2 games.
I want my child to grow up to advance & enjoy challenges. You just can't do that with a 360 because every game is 10 steps backwards in advancement. It's probly why it's fans get jerked on the regular .

My Wii has owned ebay quite a few times. For some reason I keep having the urge to buy it again and then about a week later, it ends up on ebay again. Go figure. Sony owns Nintendo this generation in quality, its a fact. Nintendo is owning in sales. You can view either one as being the victor. It was quite a funny comment by Sony and it does hold some truth, but it is also a pointless comment. Sony needs to keep their mouth shut and stick to what they do best, making great games. Catching up to the Wii doesn't seem possible, but they can still catch up to the 360 with a price cut and more quality titles.

Seriously, Sony needs games. Uncharted and KZ2 were awesome, dont get me wrong. But, SMG, LoZ:TP, SSBB MURDERS PS3 exclusives in sales and overall quality. Mario Kart Online has a bigger crowd online than KZ2, and I like KZ2.
