IGN: Tekken 6 on PSP is Official

IGN writes: "We already knew that Tekken 6 would be storming the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this fall, but today we've learned that the storied fighting franchise is also headed for the PSP".

Officially broke great games on all platforms. The PSP love is really great though I'll get both versions portable and console. I did it for Dark res so why not 6?

Yh I remember, I have it. But I thought most devs packed up and left PSP development years ago...I dont even see the point anyway. Unless this game is ONLY on the PS store then its not going to sell well. You can even put a card in the stores so that people in shops see it.

Also Sony screwed up with Patapon 2. Making it download only in US was a waste of time, as most people would of downloaded the EU version off torrents.

Interesting.I'm not a Tekken fan but I am glad to hear that the PSP will have another game for 2009.From my insider info at IGN,the PSP version will run better than 360 version.Not surprising since the 360 can barely get DS graphics.

I like my PSP getting IP's from its big brother consoles also like LBP and Motorstorm but... I'd rather see an exclusive PSP new, fresh IP that has no counterpart on other consoles.

Nowadays its only some cloning to sell on the brandname (don't understand me wrong, the game can be good). I just want something thats totally new and has no version on PS3.

They need to stop making games that need two analog sticks. Look at all the classic games on the Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari, etc, etc, that only needed a single joystick control (if that!). They need to be updated and released on the PSP.

Tekken 5 on psp was a pretty good training . Some move were pretty difficult on it , so combo training on it then moving from it to ps3 after some sessions was pretty good .

if this is the same game just ported over, Namco really need a link-up feature. I'd hate to have to unlock all the same stuff on two versions.

It would be sooooooo cool if you could just sync them with a server.

For example, unlock (eg) Lei's Jackie Chan haircut on the PS3, and next time you turn on Tekken 6 on your PSP and sync, you have that same hairdo on the PSP! how sensible would that be?

Same should be done for all sports games, racing games, fighting, LBP etc.

SCE need to encourage more things like this IMO, (perhaps with a new API) to enhance their Playstation platform and to encourage aficionados or certain games to purchase both versions of that game. One to play at home, and one for the road. Without any kind of link-up, I'm totally forgoing one or the other.

I'm not really talking about direct link-up between the two systems when sitting at home either, because I haven't really seen a proper use for that yet at all.

Also, release a PSP emulator for the PS3 as well! Let us play PSP games on the PS3 on our TVs, and then take the game with us when travelling. The PSP and PS3 will be even more linked then. It makes more sense then for people to buy a PSP. There's so much stuff that can be done, but SCE just don't seem interested.

The money Nanco wasted on 2 arcade ports, a 360 port and aPS3 port should have all gone on the god D@@@ PS3 virsion which should have been the only virsion to come out YEARS A GO!
