Square Enix and Wargaming.net announced a new agreement to publish a brand new IP set during World War II. Order of War will be released exclusively on Windows PC across all territories in Autumn 2009.
Order of War will feature massive scale battles brought to life with a cinematic intensity never seen before in a WWII strategy game. Players will take command of an entire army including ground troops, artillery, tank divisions and aircraft in all out strategic assaults. The single-player mode can be played out in two campaigns – American versus German forces on the western front and German versus Russian on the eastern front – missions will be based on key historic events and operations from 1944.
GamersGate has released it's Deal of the Day for the 22nd.
Todays game is Silent Hunter 5: Battle of the Atlantic at 75% off the list price.
Let's celebrate the New Year with some lovely ladies! Donning a sexy military outfit, model Jung Se On was recently hired to promote game company War Gaming in South Korea.
Game Vortex writes: "Who doesn't love it when they get what they asked for? Not too long ago I played and reviewed Order of War, or OoW as you would see it in the forums. I said then, "I would like to see a more challenging title quickly on the heels of this one, as long as it can keep the same graphical and gameplay quality." Well, the Wargaming.net folks heard me loud and clear, and delivered us Order of War: Challenge. They even threw what I was looking for into the title, so what more could I want? Any feeling of the word "casual" that I used last time to describe the game is replaced with the frantic, in your face, play you can only get from human competitors. The best part is that this is a standalone title. If single player isn't your thing, why waste time? You can jump right in with this multiplayer version."
Way to go
hmm well seems like a safe venture. Nothing like diving into the WWII genre to start your western dev days.
Another Flop
Just sad. I expected so much more :(. A waste of developer time and resources. So is this the meaning of "westernization" for SE? I was hopping at least a Fable-like rpg, WTH?
Plus most people just download them for free, lol. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
