Gamezine: Spiders' previously thought PlayStation and PC game has been officially announced for the Xbox 360.
We revealed the action RPG last month, with only the PlayStation 3 and PC mentioned as the game's available platforms.
We presumed the sci-fi game might come to the Xbox 360, but when Spiders' CEO Jehanne Rousseau explained that the PlayStation 3 was their lead platform, since its development was based on Sony's Phyre Engine, an Xbox version seemed unlikely.
Aside from being dated in terms of graphics and gameplay and riddled with bugs even in an early state; the game was just boring and no fun to play. But here is a look at the pending game.
BNR: Mass Effect. Skyrim. Final Fantasy XY Chromosome. Tell me, what do these games have in common? For starters, they’re clearly RPGs- popular ones, at that. They’re also massively expected, hyped, promoted. It seems that this generation has been a good one for roleplaying games. Unfortunately, it seems that plenty of (awesome!) RPGs tend to get overshadowed by bigger, more popular ones.
Yeah there are several games that people forget like Data Fly...what happened to that it wasn't cancelled I know that.
I'm not sure that it's "Nobody Remembers" with these. It seems to be "nobody has ever heard of".
Scrawl: "Mars, Spiders-Game’s role-playing game set on the mysterious red planet, has been put “in pause”, we’ve learned today."
this game existed today. But, it's never gonna get released. Never good when something gets canned.
A new sci fi action-rpg is always a win.
EDIT: ya know, unless it sucks.
Weird how the Phyre engine works on the 360...
Hopefully they will improve the game's graphics from now till next year... I would love a new fun and good looking sci fi rpg...
this is just a question - i would rather you give me an answer instead of just disagreeing or agreeing:
"where in the article is there confirmation that the game will come out on the xbox360?"
if there is no proof then this is just another example of gaming journalism going down the drain...
i actually prefer to read the companies press release then rely on someone else's interpretation or just assuming them to be true.. i think you are wrong to assume that reprinting a press release is lazy.. reprinting a press release (or linking to one) is regarded as the norm but let's agree to disagree..
don't know about you but N4G has been inundated with CONFIRMED pieces of news of late that have not actually been confirmed... hence the skepticism...
A simple google search will show you that. The only website stating this is Gamezine and N4G. Not confirmed by a long shot and also it's funny how they think Sony will let their engine be used on a different platform...
