Xbox 360 version of TF2 set to get 'massive' update

Destructoid writes: "Recently Valve announced that the Xbox 360 version of Team Fortress 2 (packaged in the Orange Box collection) is receiving a "massive" update that will "include pretty much everything" that Valve has "shipped on the PC in the last year." That includes classes, levels, and weapons upgrades that 360 owners haven't been able to touch thus far.

The posting on the official TF2 blog cautions that no date has been confirmed for the content, but we're sure plenty of players are excited about their forgotten console port of the popular multiplayer game. In addition to the Xbox 360 news, the posting also provides information on an abundance of content for the PC version that should roll out "within the next few days."

Players will be able to upgrade Teleporters and Dispensers to level 3, as well as recharge their cloaking ability as a Spy by picking up stray ammo. Valve also informed readers that the next big class pack will feature the Scout. Last, but not least, Valve will be porting some of their engine improvements from Left 4 Dead into TF2 to ensure that players have an easier time building turrets outside of spawn points."

I don't care how much this update for the 360 costs, I've simply got to have more maps, more weapons and that achievement you get as a medic for killing a spy who is disguised as your team mate and tricks you into healing him!

honestly i played halflife 2 and the ps and xbox 360 ep 1 and 2 and this game is better than any fps on current gen but what i dont understand is that why people like the garabge called teamfotresss it is so crap

yes probably cause it sold more on 360. the pc version is the one to get though really.

they are about 2 months too late. i dont have my version anymore. the 2 maps get boring and then skywalkers ruined the game. new maps would have been great but valve came up short this time

Running through Half Life 2, episode 1 and 2 again. Finished Portal for the first time. Can't wait for the update:-) More maps please?

we don't know yet. we got free dlc from dice with battlefield. you never know.

people who continue to label msft as the big bad money eater, are just as bad as people who still say the ps3 has no games....

Microsoft has a policy about DLC and cost, it also has the final say. That being said, Valve was really pushing for it be free, so I guess we wait and see.

the "policy" doesn't seem to have interfered with burnout paradise

if valve wants it free and they actually put an effort into making it free then it will be free

but honestly, it'll probably cost

I love Valve and bought the Orange Box as soon as it came out, but I just could never get into Team Fortress. Maybe I'm just spoiled by Call of Duty, Halo, Battlefield, etc., but the multiplayer shooter just wasn't fun to me. Maybe I'll give it another try over winter break or whenever this update comes out.

There are plenty of people playing tf2 on xb360...we have ladders and tournaments galore...maybe if u opened your eyes or wasn't playing at 2 in the morning you would have seen many matches going on...
