Spore creature library growing 10% per day

The predictions about Spore being doomed by DRM may be premature. In less than 24 hours, the "Sporepedia" shows more than 1.3 million new creatures. In other words, users are uploading about 1,000 creatures per minute (don't these people have to go to work or school?). Doesn't seem like the game is doomed to me. What's your take? Has EA laid an egg and this growth is to be expected in the first week of Spore sales and the free Spore Creature Creator? Or is this the sign that the game has serious legs?
