Dead Rising for Wii is not a port, there are many changes

There have been a few very well-done ports on the Wii, but a handful of them have made horrible transitions. Fortunately, no one will have to be concerned about Dead Rising for Wii being a port, as Christian Svensson has explained that the game is being reconstructed just for Wii owners.

"If you like RE4 Wii's control scheme, you're going to love this. I think it's important to note: this isn't a port. This is recreated from the ground up for the Wii. So while it borrows things like story and location, there are many changes from the 360 beyond the obvious graphical ones." - Christian Svensson, Capcom's Corporate Officer/VP of Strategic Planning & Business Development
