Resistance Retribution: Innovations in Handheld Violence (Wired Preview)

Earnest Cavalli writes:

"When the team responsible for the hugely underrated PSP Syphon Filter titles was approached by Sony to create a handheld version of the PlayStation 3's flagship Resistance series, the developers had to completely reimagine combat.

Gone is the reliance on dual sticks to maneuver and aim, gone is a reliance on multiple shoulder buttons and gone is the first-person perspective.

I'm not quite sure if I'm entirely enthralled by this new third-person action title that bears only an aesthetic similarity to the PS3 Resistance, but the changes the developers have made are certainly interesting."
