Wii gets Castlevania fighter: Details on Castlevania Judgement

More news is flooding out of the latest Nintendo Power and this time it's Castlevania. A Castlevania Wii game has been rumored for months now, but most had never considered a Castlevania fighting title; this latest game seems like a spinoff rather than the typical Castlevania games we're accustomed to. Dracula, Simon, Alucard, Shanoa, and Maria Renard are the confirmed characters thus far in addition to holy water, magic spells, dagger and boomerang being classic subweapons. Movement is handled with the nunchuck and the Wiimote is used for basic attacks. There's some other encouraging news as well - Classic Castlevania tunes will be remixed and in full throtle in Casltevania Judgement. Also, in the game, the player can set traps and destroy environments; expect enemies to cause havoc in battle, too.

Ok... this is incredibly random as a game. Alucard though... that's a pretty tempting character to play as.

Well, the problem is Konami has very little experience with fighting games, and the ones they have made have been poor at best. Fans of the series weren't exactly looking for a completely different game using their characters.

Why does the Wii keep getting spin offs. Good games like Dragon Quest got a spin off, then Dawn of the new world is a spin off of ToS, now Castlevania gets a spin off. I'm not saying this is totally bad, but why do developers avoid giving the Wii a sequel, maybe this IS bad.

Dawn of the World is not a spin off. Is the subtitle for the game here in USA. The game is Tales of Symphonia 2.

@Fernando Rocker, true it's a sequel to ToS, my mistake on that part, but nonetheless still a spin-off to the Tales series whereas the 360 gets the sequel. Famitsu scores for ToS2 is looking quite good, nothing more nothing less, but good. Looks like it'll satisfy fans of ToS, but not new comers it doesn't mean new comers should avoid this game in any way (I'm still wrapping things up on the first ToS). But scores from Famitsu shouldn't be relied on, as they were the people that gave Haze a 37/40 rating lol.

...you are wrong TOS2 is not a spinn off, do you realize how many Tales of games are out there?
If TOS 2 is a spin-off then all Tales of games are Spin-offs because Tales of phantasia was the first.

After Tales of phantasia, Namco released new -Tales of- title's and non of them were spin-off's. Just like FF they presented new characters and worlds.

hmmm well I'll hold my reserves because I was excited about Soul Calibur Legends... (that didn't turn out good ><) so I'll wait to hear more.

And et617 a sequel to the Tales game is a main part of the game and actually there only true sequel. If it's a Tales of game it's a main game so both the Wii and 360 are getting games of the main and not a spin off

The Wii could good go with more fighters...Ok it's already got the best(SSBB) but some people(for some strange reason) don't like it....I'd prefer a proper Castlevania game but....I'll wait to I see more....
