Two secret Xbox360 game reveals for E3? - CVG

CVG writes:

Microsoft Game Studios recently showcased its Xbox 360 line-up for the rest of 2008, including big hitters Banjo-Kazooie, Fable 2 and Gears of War 2. But from what we've heard, there are two more planned for the end of the year...

According to well placed sources close to Microsoft, the publisher has two more "big" Xbox 360 games to be revealed for its 2008 line-up.

Where and when will these two games be revealed? According to our own Deep Throat, it'll happen at E3 in Los Angeles, probably during Microsoft's pre-event press conference on Monday, July 14.

Our source didn't specify whether the pair of games will be totally new titles, or just missing names from the 360 line-up (Halo Wars or Alan Wake would be fantastic additions to the 360 Christmas list).

One of the games could even utilise the heavily rumoured 360 motion controller, which is sounding more and more real as the year progresses.

Excellent news then, if true, considering that Microsoft's '08 roster already looks pretty solid with Fable and Gears. Either way, we'll keep our ear to the ground and keep you posted on more developments...

I think Halo Wars is a given. But Alan Wake? Shane Kim has said that they're just not ready to be shown yet but that would be a huge surprise!

As for the "Newton" well that's coming this year regardless of whether it's unvelied at E3 (most likely)... or not. Plus there's still questions over Scene It 2 and Ninja Blade which were in the press kit at Microsoft's Showcase but never showed, although I wouldn't regard them as "big".

Rare have already hinted that they are working on sequel to the N64 Fighting Franchise... Killer Instinct LOL!

or maybe a sequel to Perfect Dark ! LOL LOL!
Im actually hoping it will be something more heavyweight.

Dark_Vendetta5806d ago

Let's hope it's not Lips or Xblade.

HighDefinition5806d ago (Edited 5806d ago )

It will be Perfect Dark Zero 2 and hopefully more.

I don`t think Alan Wake will show and honestly I`m not sure if it`s EVER gonna come out for the 360, I just CAN`T see them doing a open-world game that looks that good on a single DVD after seeing GTAIV. Open-world games are REQUIRED to be on a single disk(on a console), which is most likely why Project Offset(fairly sure it open-world) got cancelled for the 360 and not the PC. I think the same thing will happen to Alan wake, sadly. But w/ that said Alan Wake does look great.

Tomdc5806d ago

I reckon mass effect 2 maybe?

They might not hav mentioned it before cos they've been struggling to get exclusivity for it...

Halo wars and alan wake were both pushed back to 2009 as far as I was aware...

There might be a new ip prehaps?

Microsoft need some good games cos their current lineup is ok but not as great as PS3's is for this year.

BattleAxe5805d ago

I'm sure the 2 "secrect" games will be nothing great. If they were anything great, or if there even are 2 secret games, they would have leaked out something by now.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron - Coming Back for a New Generation

Originally launched in 2011, El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is coming to Nintendo Switch, so It's time to look back at the original.

Still have my ps3 copies. Bought it at launch and another one when I found it cheap and in perfect condition about 10 years ago. I wouldn’t buy it on Switch but if they made a PS5 version I would. I still have one of my PS3 Fats hooked up so good to go either way.

darthv7210h ago

Id play it again on the switch. I wished my 360 version was bc but this is still a good way to play.

Fallout 3's Reveal Led To Death Threats And Bethesda's First Security Guard

The artist behind Fallout 4’s Deathclaw reveals just how bad things got back when Bethesda took over the series

anast12h ago

People are stupid I get it. No one should feel unsafe,

But I think they need to talk about why they cut so many corners during the development process and why none of their games ever look current. And why they think all of this is okay while they charge full price.

LucasRuinedChildhood11h ago

As much as Bethesda deserve criticism, that's not really relevant to the reveal of Fallout 3 in 2007.

VenomUK9h ago

The default angle Kotaku always go for is to highlight the worst in gaming.

I would’ve focused on the creative.

there is no "but". the hell lol
you dont send death threats, period.
