At this week's EA Sports Season Opener in Burnaby British Columbia, game publishing behemoth EA opened the metaphorical kimono on their sports games in development at that massive campus as well as their other center of sports game development EA Tiburon in Orlando, Florida. And while there were a ton of games on display – well, more like twelve or so – the one that most people wanted to see is the new Madden.
The old boy, if you will, celebrating his twentieth anniversary this year. It's still the biggest selling franchise of all time, and gamers (plus gamers who only play Madden) wait with baited breath every year to hear the litany of new features, ogle the latest screenshots, and wonder if the latest athlete to grace the cover is going to fall victim to the "curse".
