Remedy Entertainment, Alan Wake September Release: "Bogus Claim"

Statements from the Official Alan Wake boards clarify that claims of a September release and media speculation is nothing more than a "bogus claim."

Moderators whom are also employees of Remedy Entertainment, reinforce the message that the upcoming title will be done "when its done." And that if you do not see it on an official site, "then it's simply not true."

Its an old franchise, that hasn't seen the light of day since n64. Its no where NEAR the ranks of Ratchet and Clank as far as franchises and success goes, so please don't try that card.

Don't pretend that the LEGENDARY game list for the 360 includes delayed PC titles TOO HUMAN, epic ALAN WAKE, and Banjo Kazooie... Everyone lsits it along side what they think will be the megaton h it titles. It just isn't.

because outside of Fable 2 and maybe Too Human, there isn't anything else coming to the 360 this year that personally appeals to me.

in case some of you are wondering, i'm not a Gears of War fan, and while i really, really like Ninja Gaiden, the games are just too damn hard for me to have fun with. i play a game to relax and have a good time, not break my controller.

Alan Wake was probably higher on my list than any 360 game releasing this year.

of course, i'll be playing my PS3 quite a bit this year, so this isn't a total loss (games like GTAIV and Fallout 3 are being purchased for my PS3, as are most of the multi-plats hitting this year; i just like the feel of the Playstation 3 controller better than the 360. just my own personal preference; there is NO right or wrong here).

Like RTS? There are about 5 coming. Like FPS? Another 5-10. Racing? Sports? No? Not a single FPS, RTS, Racer or sport title in that bunch.

i'm aware of all of those games, but if i was interested in them, i'd have listed them.

it's not like i completely forgot about all the titles hitting the 360 this year. just that there are very few that have my interest piqued to a level where, with my limited funding, i'll give up buying a PS3 title to pick it up.

what's really messed up, is that i've been limiting my gameplay on my 360 so it won't red ring before any of my anticipated titles comes out. it sounds foolish, and it *IS, but my roommate was absolutely DYING to play Mass Effect. he bought it on day one brought it home... and his 360 crapped out on him. he didn't get to play Mass Effect for a week until he bought a new 360, and eventually sent his off to MS for repair.

it's things like this (a similar thing happened to a friend of mine who was eagerly awaiting a game, maybe Bioshock, and his 360 crapped out on him the same day).

personally, not a single one of us should have to worry about our systems crapping out on us. i've only had my 360 for about two months now, but i'm constantly living in that state of uncertainty and trepidation every time i get the urge to play Mass Effect or Crackdown. it's ridiculous. i just don't have that worry with my PS3, because it's built like a brick-house.

i find it hard to put so much money behind a console that could crap out on me, denying me the very REASON why i bought the console in the first place; playing games.
