As for Mass effect its good to see ps3 fans showing love to this game(i thought gears was the only game that was good on the 360 lol) but if you want to play it your gonna most likely have to buy a 36o just like you need a ps3 to play mgs4 and well Me it is worth a 360 on its own, truly immense.

lol nah i have mine but i hardly play it thats all. In fact these days i hardly play any console. I typically just play a couple of rounds of warhawk and thats it. I havn't played mass effect and if i was to ever play it, i would play it on 360 but that doesn't mean i don't want it to ps3. Like i said my fanboy side wants to see the 360 lose those exclusives. 360 snatched up a lot of ps3 exclusives so with everyone that is lost it is essentially ps3 pay back. Like i said i already played dead rising amusing at first but the save system was too dumb for me to play it any longer. If dead rising 2 came out i wouldn't buy it on any system unless it had better save system.

Don't get me wrong i do not support both sides equally, i support the ps3 because they have the games i am most passionate about. I am not waiting for mass effect to hit ps3 and i am pretty sure i would have already beaten the game by the time mass effect 2 comes out. I really don't have time to play long games so i am holding off for may when i get out of school. I will pick up mass effect, maybe lost odyssey, and then mgs essential collection and get to work.
Also as for gears and ninja gaiden 2. To be 100% honest i really don't want to play gears all i want to play is ninja gaiden 2. Thats because i loved sigma so much(never played black) and playing DMC4 has made me see how much more superior gaiden is. As for gears of war 2 i honestly think i over played the first 1. It was the first true next gen game to come out and i guess that is why everyone was excited about it. I loved the cover based gameplay as well. However we have already seen games surpass their graphics and their cover gameplay has gotten boring (especially after playing uncharted so much).
As for the other 360 games i think too human will suck and i don't like the analog control option the are working with. If it doesn't suck i will get it because those are the type of games i love. Fable 2 i never played fable 1 so i can't get excited but i hear it will be great so we will see. Banjo kazooie i will probably get. but we will see. Left for dead not interested in it. What other 360 game is there?

The 360 owes its "exclusivity" to more consumers and consumers of which purchase more games. i think a lot of you guys are confused as to what a publisher actually does.

a publisher will put up the money to help develop a game, or pay for the advertising of the game, when the developer can't afford to undertake such a thing.

if they don't actually *OWN the IP of the game, then the IP owners can do whatever they want with the game.

Bioware OWNS Mass Effect.

if they want to bring it to the Playstation 3, Wii, PSP, DS, PS2, Commadore 64, then CAN, because they own it.

regardless of if Microsoft published the first game for 2007, nothing can stop EA from making some extra dough by porting it for the PS3.

the sequel will most certainly get released on the PS3, but i wouldn't be surprised if "Mass Effect: The Prothean Saga" comes to the PS3 this year, or next year, before ME2 comes out.

personally, i don't see what would keep any of these non-Sony or Microsoft owns IPs from coming to rival systems (and, yes, fellow PS3 fans, that includes games like Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid; well, granted the devs come up with work arounds for lack of Blu Ray and HDDs in standard in the 360).

Microsoft can publish whatever they want, but if there isn't a "this property is owned by Microsoft" sticker on it, it's fair game.

EA, through Bioware, now owns the Mass Effect license. if they choose to make the series multi-platform, they will. end of story. it's not a hard concept to grasp, but so many people are blinded by their fanboyism that they refuse to acknowledge how the industry works.

if it's beneficial (read: profitable) to EA to release Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 on the Playstation 3 as well as X Box 360, they will do it.

it's no mystery that the PS3 is gaining momentum. it's no longer 2006, where ridiculing the system was standard practice across the media. it braved the trenches of it's first year, and was still standing. year two of the PS3 is looking to build up on that momentum even more, and developers and publishers are taking note of this trend. in short, the PS3 just isn't the pariah it was two years ago. it has a balance of sales in the UK, Japan, and now the US, so developers from those regions have a stabler platform to put their games behind than they did a year ago, when the console first launched.

publishers and developers *ARE NOT FANBOYS. they will do what they need to for good business, period. supporting the PS3 just isn't a risk like they presumed before.

the publisher retains IP rights, but that's entirely my point, Microsoft DID NOT obtain IP rights for Mass Effect, Bioshock, and even Gears of War. meaning that, at any time, the franchises could go multi-platform.

Sony, on the other hand, prefers to obtain IP rights. Rogue Galaxy, Dark Cloud, Jeanne D'Arc, and White Knight Story were all developed by Level 5. Sony doesn't own Level 5, but they DO OWN the IP rights to the aforementioned games.

they understand that it's not the *DEVELOPER that the mainstream, casual, and even some hardcore gamers recognize, but the IP itself.

i guarantee that if God of War was suddenly made by a studio other than Sony Santa Monica, the franchise would *STILL sell as amazing as it does now, because it's the God of War name that is popular, not Sony Santa Monica.

Microsoft, basically, gave Epic, Bioware, and 2K the funding for a game that those three companies can just do with whatever they pleased. MS should have obtained IP rights from the three companies, and then there would be NO QUESTION whatsoever about the exclusivity of Bioshock, Mass Effect, and Gears of War.

I really support exclusives... I've always wanted to play Bioshock and ME, but mostly Mass Effect.

I don't know why it feels wrong to play ME or any 360 exclusive on the PS3 even though I would welcome it with open hands.

We have a competitive battle this year and we have to thank exclusives for it. Exclusives drive sales and give devs motivation to create better games for their respective consoles.

Anyways, this news.... So let me get this straight. A Playstation focused magazine is predicting good things for a Playstation brand? Stop the friggin presses!

Mass Effect, the Intellectual Property created by EA, and the publishing rights now belong to EA since they publish their own titles. The fact is, it's possible they end up on the PS3 at some point, however, it may not be Bioware that's doing the porting job.

In-Game XMB being ready was reported by me, and by Gamesblow a long time ago, they're just waiting for their first and second party games to be patched to work with this. I think a couple of third party games are getting patched, but most third parties prefer to turn their noses to their old games.

The BBC game is either the new "Eight Days" or some rumoured MMO title called "Tears of Blood" Can't say for sure since I don't know, but we know for fact that it was shown to him sometime after GDC.

I'll end this comment by saying I agree with all the review scores, Army of Two is a piece of crap, the next Ico game should be impressive, and good day to all you gentlemen. Stop fighting over a bunch of rumours.
