MW3 guns leak! Ghost still alive?

SFX360: Treyarch seems to be having a problem with leaks this week. In addition to the screen shots of a Treyarch employee playing an unreleased game titled Iron Wolf yesterday, we are now hearing rumors of the weapons to be in the highly anticipated release of Infinity Ward’s, Modern Warfare 3. The weapons resemble a hybrid collection of guns from Treyarch’s Black Ops and Infinity Ward’s Modern Warfare 2.

I highly doubt Ghost is dead.

Look at the trailer and go to 1.34.The outline of the character looks just like Ghost.

Spoiler

if you as the player and ghost both get thrown into a pit of fire, then i have no idea how IW could bring him back without it being a gimmick and unbelievable

Ghost could be like a symbol throughout the task force whos played by multiple soldiers. That way the old ghost is dead but we get a new one..

This is CoD - anything is possible! Put yourself in IWs shoes and think what you would do show that he didn't die. Bullet proof vest (or shot in non-fatal place) + fire proof vest + sniper support rescue after Shepherd leaves. Unrealistic - but so is most of the plot.

This is how I'd explain it. First off, anyone could survive a pit of fire and crawl out pretty damaged but still alive - just ask Darth Vader ;) Seriously though, I think it would be cool if Ghost was Gaz from MW1 (who had the same voice actor). In MW1, he get shot in the head near the end. Well, what if he barely survived that one encounter and got a metal plate in his head as a result, which ironically SAVED him from death with the second bullet to the head in MW2? That would be a neat way to explain it. More than likely though it will just be a different person who takes up the ghost persona and mask.

Seriously, the story is already so full of bullsh*t, I wouldn't care about the reason if Ghost would have mysteriously survived. That guy is awesome. And dillydadally's idea doesn't sound that bad actually, for a ModernWarfare title that is. But multiple Ghosts is more likely, a bit like the Carmine Brothers from Gears.

Controversy in the COD community feels like it happens within an alternate timeline. Activision will take the piss with something, there will be a momentary fuss about it, and then they will forget about it and carry on anyway. Repeat this cycle literally every year for the rest of time.

They call that a crack head! Thats what this is really about, its an addiction. People who dont smoke cigarettes look and laugh at the addicts that spend $8-$10 a pack, but they cant help themselves, they are addicted. That same analogy applies perfectly to the whole MT industry. Only an addict that was not thinking clearly would spend this kind of money on something so frivolous. A round of multiplayer provides the same high a person gets from scratching a lotto ticket, or putting money on a sports bet. MT in general need to really be regulated because you have a generation of kids becoming adults who grew up only knowing the MT era of gaming. Its normal to them and they will in turn teach their kids the same by just being a gaming parent and getting their kids involved with them in gaming. Thats why no matter how ridiculous the headlines keep getting out of the MT industry, it never seems to fade or go away.

I'm so tired of hearing about what they're doing with this game, its never going to change and it's never going to value the consumer over money, furthermore the people who engage so heavily in the microtransactions I guess allegedly are having a blast and can't wait to do it some more this year when the new version of the game drops.
