Dead Space 2: No standard PS3 edition, only special edition

Well judging by Gamestop’s listing for Dead Space 2, which is up for pre-order, it seems that fans looking to play Isaac’s latest on the PS3 will only have the special edition as a purchasing option, but that’s not bad at all seeing as how the price is equivalent to any other full priced retail release: $59.99 usd."

Granted, the "on rails" angle isn't usually my sort of thing, but for this particular IP - cool.

I love getting Extraction for free, yet I'm disappointed on DS2 not having MOVE support. It should be straightforward to implement MOVE on that game.

extraction is prequel to the first game, but if you are new to the game ,I think it is better to play part one fist than extraction than part 2

Every game released on the playstation 3 is a special edition thanks to bluray and the cell processor. im on level 8 in dead space 1. Am doing my best to stay man enough to fight through the rest of that frightning ass game. i will NOT play dead space 2 until i man up and beat part 1.

I just started playing Dead Space 1 a few days ago, and I am about 25% of the way through it, and I have been blown away with how good it is so far.

Dead space falls in place as one of the Elite Multiplatform games out there. (at least so far)

I will definetly be picking up the PS3 version of Dead Space 2/Extraction on launch day.

It's nice to see the 3rd party developers finally utilizing Blu-ray disc. Yaaaaaaay :)

I have a Wii and never considered getting DS extraction cause of the reviews even though Dead Space is up there on my list of best games released this gen.

I don't have a PS3, but now I'm thinking if I should try it on the Wii ....anyone else here played it on the Wii?

Yeah I rented it out for a while (I was poor at the time) and it was a good game. If you played the first Dead Space on any other console you would know what I mean when I say it's exactly what you'd expect of a dead space rail shooter. Its a fun game. Not really as creepy as its next gen sequel.

The special edition is a day 1 buy from me, I just bought Dead Space Downfall which I'm currently watching and I'm liking it. (Obviously I have Dead Space 1 and it kicks ass)
