@Chicken Chaser: I don't think allowing IW to copy zombie mode would be Treyarch's decision, it would be up to Activision. It's pretty likely, given the popularity of WaW zombies that Activision will more or less force IW to include zombies of some sort in MW2.

pfft, try killzone 2's netcode, buttery smooth online. there is virtually no lag (at least from all the time i've played with it), accommodates 32 players, and is pumping out some amazing graphics.

cod4's issue was trying to go P2P. that's starting to get out dated considering how much more advance dedicated servers are so infinity ward are capable of integrating it. cod4 gets seriously annoying: leaving hosts finally migrates but it still ends the match (right in the middle of you owning everyone), laggy as hell, constant amount of lobbies closing, no filter or customization options for maps/modes you want to play, etc. dedicated servers are the future, not laggy P2P.

Back in the PS2 era, I hated Halo. I had the impression that it was a lame bland FPS that only kids played, but at that time, I only tried it once and for a very short time, in split-screen.

But then COD4 came out. I bought it. Man, do I regret this purchase. COD4 is as bland and generic as it can get. Military men in brown cities, throwing 3 grenades every second. It made me realise how Halo wasn't so bad afterall. Then one day I got Halo 1 for PC. I loved it. Then, I tried Halo 3 with a friend and thought it was awesome. I love the weapons, ennemies and pacing of the game.

Halo is a much better game.

Halo 1 on PC was my 1st online game. I loved it, both SP and MP. I became so intrigued by the halo 3 hype, I ended up buying 360 just for Halo3. I later got Halo 2 xbox version (didn't want no Vista back then).

I did enjoy Halo 3 MP thanks to it's generous splitscreen offering another 3 guest players. I still have my 360.

We need more games like that. So far, only Warhawk has it for PS3 and maybe Haze.

It's crazy how so many people started with Halo1 as their first online game. I guess mostly younger people, or people who didn't have access to a PC. I think my first true online shooter was Rogue Spear on the PC. That game was freaking awesome and I was insanely addicted. Before rogue spear the only multiplayer I did was like Doom 2 or Quake over LAN.

I never got on the hype train for Halo1 because I had already experienced great online FPS like Counter-strike and Half-life. I always thought Halo to be overhyped and overrated, but seeing how it could of been peoples first experience with online Multiplayer..I can understand how the game got so many fans.

This game is going to have way to much hype and fail. Not from a sales standpoint. A lot of fans are going to be getting more of the same and that's not good enough these days especially with sequels. I liked COD4 when I had my 360. But I believe Killzone 2 is a much better game and will be better then Modern Warfare 2. It all depends on taste. But my vote will most likely go with K2 for GOTY unless MAG or some other FPS blows me away.

Nice too see so many agree with BF:BC being superior CoD4. I think CoD4 was a great game too, but BF:BC had just a little bit more punch too it. The sound is still up to day the best I've heard in a video game. It also have something I miss in most other fps on consoles - a wide range of vehicles.

Bad company is an absolute joke compared to Modern Warfare. I don't care about destructible environments, I care about superior weapons and gameplay. As far as graphics, it's already been proven that gameplay reigns supreme in comparison, just look at how long counter-strike has been popular. Having the top end graphics like KZ2 is fairly irrelevant. Killzone is good because the gameplay supports it along with the graphics. When the dust settles though, MW2 is going to slaughter everything in it's path.

The only problem I have is that the devs might just make it the same as COD4. And since COD4 is pretty much perfected online for what it is, it might just be like COD5 where I still rather playing COD4 online.

If they fix the horrible respawning system, up the amount of players online and bring in some more interesting game modes then i'll be happy.

i would have preferred using an updated engine tbh. The biggest announce from the cod4 engine seems to be hit detection. The hitboxes on ppl's heads seem really random, the amount of times i've shot someone in the head only to get a 'normal' kill is unbelievable. You only have to create a room with headshots only to see how off the hit detection is.

But the weird thing is that in general, body shots register really well.

Its just disappointing to see that they're playing it safe when COD4 was such a jump up from COD2. Some ppl may say don't fix what it if it isn't broken, but then why bother getting mw2 when COD4 is still very popular online to this day...

I really hope they sort out the perks a bit too cus being killed by a noob using martydom is still 1 of the most frustrating things in video games, the fact that a player doesn't even have to fire their weapon and can still get kills!

Also they should really spread the killstreak rewards out. every game you will always get the winning team full of average scores and then 1 or 2 players with ridiculous k/d, simply cus they got a few kills and then got a helicopter out (at which point the player doesn't even need to bother playing themself anymore) and so the kills just rack up so quickly. I just think if a player is good enough to get a killstreak going, why reward them by giving them an easier way to get kills....

if you get killed by the granade drop then it's most of the time your fault, you can hear the grenade drop and it gives you plenty of time to avoid it. not saying i didn't die from it. but i didn't mind it. i would never use it because i think it's a cheap way to get a kill but i wouldn't say it's the worst thing ever or anything.

you know what i'd like to see with the kill streaks. after the chopper if i get three more kills i'd like to get another uav.

I never played COD so I don't know, but it sounds like the suicide rocket noob in K2. Nothing more annoying than a noob you're about to kill just runs in and blows you both up with a rocket. Most games people fully remove the weapons for the assault class or the whole class.

Killzone 2 has excellent gameplay and that is why the majority of reviews were 90 or above. It's silly for you to go around acting like Killzone 2 is only about great graphics and somehow isn't good in terms of gameplay, because everyone knows you're full of it.

Personally, Killzone 2 is my favorite shooter at the moment and I own both consoles and have all the top shooters. So, when some moron like you claims it isn't good at all, I find it more than a little insulting. It doesn't have to be your favorite, but if you have a scrap of honesty you have to at least admit that it is one of the better shooters available right now.

All the people complaining about cod4 lagging are ps3 players.

I've played both versions, 16 days on the ps3 and 4 on the 360.
I can tell you right now that the ps3 seems laggier, I shoot at someone and my bullets don't connect in ALOT of games....even with 4 bars.

On the 360, you would maybe find one game out of 20, with bad hit detection....it's like 1 in 5 on the ps3.

It might not be 'technically superior', but yes, at that moment in time, Britney Spears is the most appreciated artist and the one which people 'enjoy' the most. However, Britney Spears is certainly not the highest rated, nor will her music go down in history.

It's unwise to draw parallels between the two, considering COD4 is a well-polished masterpiece. Even from a technical standpoint, COD4 MP is quite superior to KZ2. People overlook the sophistication and thoughtful polish contained in just about every facet of that game's existence.

I was actually pretty good at KZ2. The learning curve was not what put me off. I enjoyed the game at first but the supposed 'depth' is not as tangible as once thought. Stopped playing it after about ten hours. I had NO desire to buy the map packs, either. I think it's merely a case of Guerrilla not being as in touch with the gamer as Infinity Ward are. Their pseudo-innovation just comes off as emulation.

What happened to just talking about the excitement or lack of excitement of the game itself and not trying 2 take away from the game by comparing it with a game thats out NOW and that you've probably already played. Infinity Ward is a PROVEN developer who has always pushed the FPS genre with every release. i wish i could agree and disagree with comments. cause i agree with about 85 percent of your comment. i seriously doubt that the single player experience will beat KZ2, it's gonna be hard to beat that. it was amazing. and i think the online is gonna be soo different that it's almost incomparable. really the only similarity in the online is the perspective. so they will both be able to exist in my game library.

now im sure that cod online is gonna be more popular so if you consider that the reason that mw2 is gonna beat kz2 then your probably right. but i can also say that it's gonna be more popular online because it's waaaaaaaay easier to get kills and feel good about yourself in cod.

Hell, the PS3 probably is more powerful. One would expect it to be, for the price and development time, am I right? I think the graphics on my PS3 have been pretty good so far. In terms of visuals, Uncharted is my favourite game of all time. Yes, I do feel a twinge of disappointment when near every multi-platform game performs slightly better on my friend's 360... but it's hardly noticeable, so I don't desperately try to find evidence that my console is 'better'.
