Visions of Mana: Can Square Enix Revive the Long Inadequate Series?

Visions of Mana is a new title in the beloved Mana series coming in 2024, but will it be enough to satisfy the long underserved fanbase?

I dont know ...
how well did the remaster do ha.

Square was happy with the remake for once. Probably why we're getting a new entry. 😄

I feel like people dunk on Secret of Mana too much though, it's just the original game with a face lift, which suited me fine.

I still have to get around to playing Trials of Mana, but I enjoyed the demo of that one.

It's SE at the end of the day.... The last main game was a remaster that was actually quite good, but also very by the books. And the last game in the franchise was a mobile title that managed to survive for only a year before being shut down.

And the rest of SE output has also been very hit or miss in the last decade.

I find it hard to trust SE nowadays, it's why I trust their remasters more than anything, but even they tend to be broken when ported to PC.

Hell yea. They've killed the remasters. Keep those coming(physically to please)

I’m huffing a lot of hopium for this game

I think it will satisfy existing fans, but is it going to GROW the brand? Probably not.

Unless they're willing to pump the same money that Bandai Namco did into "modernizing" the Tales series with Arise, into this, it ain't going to happen.

I mean, the budget looks pretty good based off what we saw in the trailer (visually, at least.) I think it'll do a good job of "growing" the brand. Especially since the brand has been on the backburner for quite some time. Aside from the remake that was made.

Tales of arise was fantastic I really do wish they'd of went with a conventional world map though it would of helped it seem less linear

It resembles too much with tales, let's hope it delivers, is way different from what Mana series used to be, art and visually speaking.
