Looking at reviews right now before I buy it. Flat cutscenes with black borders on all four sides. Can’t manually use the typewriter or open drawers, can only press x, but that not bad.

I going to get it.

I bought RE 4 for this patch.

It is amazing, but how it compares to the phenomenal Village is the question I guess. The frequent 2d (some 3d) cutscenes are not ideal. The visuals are both better but in some ways worse than RE 8. This seems smoother but not as "next gen" as 8 imo. Better newer re projection technique maybe? Here there are fewer items in the environment to rummage through also which gives it a less interactive feel (something the quest version did better I hear). I hope there is a detailed DF comparison between both patches.

The thing about a Quest version, are they talking about the old version of the game that was more built for quest, or is there a newer comparable version lie the PSVR2 which I seem to remember it being said was a completely different version from the Quest.

The Quest version is pretty much just the gamecube version but with added interactivity. This is the full remake. This has better combat in a sense, you can use the knife to parry objects.
