CG writes: Yesterday evening CDPR released a new gameplay trailer for Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty entitled, “New Ways to Play” which gives an overview of what’s new in the upcoming expansion/DLC. We discuss the changes and what it means as far as gameplay is concerned. With the arrival of this first and final expansion, will Cyberpunk 2077 finally be the game is was hoped to be?
TechRaptor writes, "We're talking about our favorite games of 2023, and in this list, Don Parsons shares his favorite games from small games you never heard of to one of the best games ever!"
VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "Whether in the form of free DLC (hello God of War Ragnarök: Valhalla) or long-awaited semi-sequels, expansions have blossomed into their own thing across every genre. A commercial & creative necessity for MMOs way back when is now a commonality everywhere. And there's great incentive behind it too; generally speaking, who wouldn't want to have the gameplay skeleton of their favorite titles utilized to explore new storylines and locations? In 2023, this comes with a cost for last-gen-only gamers in the form of Horizon Forbidden West and Cyberpunk 2077. Despite both titles having 8th-gen versions at their respective launches, Guerrilla Games and CD Projekt RED decided to forego the technologically-constraining PS4 and/or Xbox One consoles to fully realize their creative visions.
While that doesn't tell the full story of these four finalists, it's an intriguing factoid that marks 2023 as a turning point in cementing future titles or DLCs for only this current generation... and maybe Switch."
Good year for DLC. I’m at the last boss in Burning Shores and just wrapped the tower party subterfuge in Phantom Liberty. Chef’s kiss.
Even though it was a remake, Separate Ways was a great slice of DLC for me.
The RE4VR update also phenomenal.
The New York Videogame Critics Circle has announced the yearly New York Game Awards nominations. Baldur's Gate 3 leads the pack with six, while Alan Wake II and Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty both got five nominations.
Playing this after I'm done with Starfield, lot of RPG goodness this year!
Yet still not even minimal third person view. No thanks.
I want to get geared out like Maelstrom. Also does anyone know if we can get all of the weapons without having to dump a bunch into Tech.?
I will have to try this out again.
I bought it when it came out after being pretty hyped for it and I was stunned at how awful it was.
But if they've really been putting the effort in hopefully this is more of what the game was supposed to be.
I hope there's a lot of choice.
Should have never launched on last generation consoles. The first trailer they revealed at E3

21-22 mark that’s the original promise of cyberpunk and it still haven’t been met. Hopefully soon
Realistic crowd NPC
Realistic Police spawn system
Realistic tragic
These things were achieved by some games during Xbox 360-PS3 days yet CD Project Red haven’t been able to achieve them on powerful hardware. Never have I seen a good create so much goodwill and lose it all with one release. I know my comment will piss off some of the studios fanboys but facts are facts. I loved this studio because of how they treated and communicated with their community. Than they hid and lied about cyberpunk 2077
They hid last generation footage
They lied about state of the game
I really hope patch 2.0 is really that vision finally
