Well atleast all those Xbox fans who told me to go cry in a corner when I complained about cyberpunk on ps5 being like that for Playstation buyers will know how it feels.
I got Cyberpunk on PS5 and have come to accept the DLC isn't on disc, even though I really want it to be. What's more important to me though is the base game being preserved in both instances and this is where Remedy is dropping the ball on Xbox
This should have happened day 1.
I'm sure they'll get some buyers but nowhere near what they would have this came out day 1

I'd prefer the most complete game on the disc. I don't need the latest and greatest. I've got patience
Also, releasing this way will send a message to publishers about the future of physical media. AW2 has struggled to become profitable, but if the physical release makes it profitable, they will have to acknowledge that there is real demand for physical media.

Honestly, in a small way I hope it doesn't sell well as an F U to the physical buyers that were forced to wait over a year. But I also see how that could be counter productive.
On topic, for all those of you that say "it's going to happen anyway" or "get used to it", this whole ordeal exposes the point I made years ago. The industry goes where YOUR wallet allows it to go. If people stop buying digital, what do you think will happen?, They'll be forced to go physical. Need proof? Look here at AW2

Glad this is happening. Just a question cause I was trying to watch at work in the middle of a mold change lol. Is the dlc going to be on disc? It sounds like it.
It looks like the PS5 version will have the full game + DLC on disc. The Xbox version will require a download.

Aside from MK1, this was pretty much the only thing that excited me from that Showcase. Like what is it with these showcases being so boring and then ending with a single banger? I almost with they’d just show their finales and call it a day.
Spider-Man 2 was the only thing in the Sony showcase that wowed me. Rebirth was basically it for SGF, but MK1 was pretty cool, too… but it was basically just MK to me with a ton of fan service.
Everyone saying "but they were teasing/advertising it in the lead up to SGF so it wasn't a surprise" are all being downvoted. Everyone blindly cheering FF7 with zero regard to the content of the article gets upvoted lol.
Pertinently, it wasn't a surprise whatsoever. There was plenty of discussion and announcement from SE in the past week.
