I think she did a pretty good job and her natural attitude is very Ellie. She literally seems to have fun and doesn’t treat acting like a job.

Are we validating someone's opinion's worth based on what other people think (...) that's pretty much a ''hive mind mentality'' right there.

I personally think she did not look the part, and was okay as Ellie in personality. I never expect a 1:1 outcome when it comes to similarities between a game adaptation and game itself.

Why use an actress though? That's literally the reaction you get when you put someone in this game in PSVR2 anyway lol, you could've stuck it on anyone and saved some money!

It makes it more likely people will engage with the advert fully rather than glossing over it, particularly as many would've seen her in The Last of Us recently. Also helps it stick in their mind. Same with any advert really
