It's Fine to Criticise Cyberpunk 2077, but I am Allowed to Love It (Discussion)

CG writes: Cyberpunk 2077 released last week after years of hype from Polish developer CD Projekt Red (CDPR), the gaming press and gaming community. The game obviously looked destined to fail from the start for some people with off-the-scale expectations. Right now, a divide exists between those who enjoy the game for what it is, and on the other side, those disappointed with the current version. That’s aside from any issues with first-generation console versions (Xbox One and PS4). Perhaps some people were expecting Cyberpunk GTA V, or others Cyberpunk Deus Ex, sadly for those people Cyberpunk 2077 is nether.

You're allowed to love any version of the game...but not allowed to say the console versions are fine. I played it on PS5...blurry and pixelated textures, npc with no legs and a tray just floating in the air 5 min into the game with many other glitches in my 2 hour playtime before returning it. It is honestly an embarrassment...

2hrs? You really didn't give it a chance then. The game gets better and better the further in you go. I understand there are issues on PS4/last gen but on PS5 the game is amazing (though still needs some bugs and crashes ironed out).

After i looked in the mirror in V's bathroom and he had a no hair and the hat i put on i was done... if you loved it, good for you. Im not paying 60 dollars for what looks like a switch version. Maybe i'll buy it again when a proper ps5 version is out...but no more trusting CDPR from now on.

It's cool, some people love blood sausage, haggis and Trump too.

I am playing on the PS5 and have put 50-ish hours into it so far. There are some glitches and the game crashes every couple of hours which is a pain but the 1.04 patch helped quite a bit.

Apart from that though this is one of my favourite games of all time. It already looks fantastic and I can't wait to see how it will look with the PS5 patch.

"It’s incredibly difficult to figure out a way where New Game Plus could be done in a way that doesn’t completely break the way the game is constructed,"

Yet in 2020 i had this mode via a mod they are actually saying that your powers can screw up v's infection for those unaware pre the big update so it might not be a thing anymore but if you maxed out v with save editor your character would get sick see johnny all that but still would be in the first part.

Here is a very old vid of mine you can see how it can screw up the game
https://youtu.be/fCdo_Bowle...

So they could do it if they did not spend years making a mess of everything then last minute toss a game out half done.
