After the way they rudely hurried people off the stage at The Game Awards, I won't bother watching any of the streams for this. I'll just checkout out a few game trailers on Youtube after they're uploaded there.

It definitely helps with exposure. I've missed a lot of steam releases because they get drowned out by dozens of new games launching every day on the platform.
Seems to be the pretty consistent message you hear from people who do the Epic thing -- those extra percentage points are worth it.
There's no such thing as bad publicity...
